Ranging Iron Dragons

I`ve been wondering if ranging them is as efficent as maging/meleeing them.

 

 

 

If so about what lvl should I have? 75+?

 

 

 

And with which bolts I should be ok...?

Ranging is pretty efficient with 75+ ranged, preferably 80+. You'll need mithril or higher bolts; I hear emerald [e] bolts are the most useful, for poisoning and attack power.

I would suggest at least 80+ range and emmy (e) bolts with a Rune x-bow. The higher the range the better. Best to read a guide before attempting. :

If you got money 75+ range will be fine just invest in a few range pots and use what the above said. if not I'd get at least 80 if not 85 range before doing metals to train.

Inventory:

 

905 Gold coins

 

Rune axe

 

8 Antifirebreath potions

 

2-4 Range potions

 

120 Mith Emmy (e) Bolts

 

4-6 Sharks

 

 

 

So what I do is poison them with the mith bolts then switch to addy bolts for the kill. I range pot when im 89/86 Ranged. So this is my set up until i run out of my 3,000 Addy bolts. You might switch the addy with mith.
