To, at least on the Tech Forum, remove the ultra long (CAUTION: executable file) automatic replacements of exe's.

Change exe to e3e if you want, I can understand the reasons, but PLEASE remove the long caution words AFTER it. It makes HJT logs and other datalogs extremely difficult to read.

IE:

Instead of changing file.exe to file.e3e (CAUTION: executable file)

Change file.exe to JUST file.e3e.

This would both remove the security risks and allow comprehendable understanding of logfiles without causing permanent brain damage to those who try to read them.

I posted this as a topic instead of a PM, since I also would like to know if the rest of the community supports the proposal. Once an admin has read it though it's up to them whether to act or it or not.

Live free or die. First option is exhausted, so guess what remains?

Actually I have no problem with this. When reading logs I usually copy and paste it into notepad and use the 'replace' feature in it. But yes I do this so that it is easier to read.

Doing what I said takes maybe 10 seconds to do?

I agree, it should be changed... I mean, renaming it to e3e is just as good as e3e caution blah blah blah, either way it won't be something you could link to, and the majority of the people who would use this forum realize what an e3e is and what it could potentially be...

I dunno, PM grin or somthing

...

Its much better with the caution. You still have to do a find replace if it was e3e so it makes not difference to have the warning. And it at least keeps the noobies aware.
