indy500fan
EDIT: This was my volume control topic, didn't think I needed to make another topic for a different question. Plus I am still looking for the volume control program, if anyone knows of one. [hide=Original topic]Anyone know of a free/open source program that does this in Windows XP? I know Vista has it, but that is not an option. After searching for an application IndieVolume is pretty much all I could find, but it costs money and I don't need it enough to spend anything.[/hide] I want to save an entire topic to my hard drive. Well, mostly just the author of the post, post date, and then the actual post. The topic I want to do this for is the "What movies did you last see" topic in the M&M forums, since it has every single movie I have seen in the past two years in it. If anything should ever happen to these forums (lets hope not), I would not want to lose all the information there. Plus, I would like to be able to organize by post author and then title. I can do all that manually though. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions about how to go about doing this.
ClareJonsson
You're not going to get that in XP as the audio architecture in XP is completely different. Vista's audio is a brand new system, the application audio levels is in the audio sub system. Vista even boasts much lower latency than the XP drivers, even lower than ASIO. indy500fan
http://www.indievolume.com/ So would this program not work? EDIT: Having not being able to find any other alternative, I decided to give IndieVolume a try, and it didn't work.
indy500fan
After changing the point of this topic I didn't bump it, I guess I should have. No one knows of a way to save an entire topic?
BlueLancer
Seemed like an interesting question, looked into it+searched a few technical forums I use... Sadly it doesn't seem possible, at least for a normal user. I would help you by moving a topic temporarily/splitting/etc. if it made the whole thread into 1 post, but that wont work: [hide][/hide] Only an admin can install the required phpBB plugin which would allow viewing all the pages in one big lump. I doubt that feature is coming :( Or, admins could just set a page to be an indefinite number of posts (thus viewing all posts at once). That would lag most users to hell though, and make thread browsing impossible for 56k modem users
indy500fan
Ah well, thanks for trying at least. I seem to remember being on a phpBB forum before that allowed you to save topics, I thought maybe it was this one and I just couldn't find the option. I'll go through page by page and just copy/paste to a document, might take a while but there is a lot of information there that I just couldn't stand to lose :D . pryomancer
Can't you set the number of posts per page, from your own Control Panel? I'm sure I've done it before, might have been on an invision forum though. :x
