skitzglass2
if you look at the 4th developement diary they had 5 types of dogs shown. My guess would be that they release one type of all the familiars in the first update, then with the second comes all the other choices. So with the example of the dogs, in jan we will only be able to summon bulldogs, but in feb, with the same lvl you can choose which breed of dog you would like. kemikalkadet
I can undertand Jagex' point on wanting people to take the time to get to know their familiars and iff they all came out then a lot of them would be missed. That makes sense and seems like quite a good idea to split the release. I did wonder about the downloading issue they mentioned though.. Everyone already has at least most of the familiar models downloaded and stored in the cache, as the leaks can prove.
bedman
Maybe there's some high lvl thing that they don't want anybody to have a monopoly on. (Like abbyssal whip when it first came out. The first slayers of those beasties made up to one bill. Which was ALOT by then, and - by the way - caused the rares to explode). When the bigger beasts come out next month, quite a few people might be already lvl 90+ so they'll have to "share" the profits. A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h! ajk822
Very good point on the not having a monopoly on items thing. It is something i hadn't considered. I still think that in some way the skill wasnt completely ready for release at this point. Idk, but thats just the way jagex has been rubbing me lately. 4031st person to 99 Thieving on 5/25/2008If anyone plays NBA Live '08 online on the Wii please PM me. I'm up for anyone.
