  1. good point, but making planks is nowhere near as much effort as saw operato is instant. The only reason i post is to draw peoples attention to it, because it seems rare woods are overlooked by many people.
  2. thats cause u didnt understand what i wrote. those are the profits for individual materials. If you want a total profit add half of 1 to a whole of another. eg 5 workers on mahogany and 10 of fish gets you 65010 + (62026/2) = 96023gp profit a day at 100% approval
  3. having just spent a while working out my own calculator, i see that fish is the most profitable right now at 65010 profit a day plus bonuses (all figures from 50000gp per material which is max and 100% approval), second place is actually mahogany at 62026 profit a day plus tree seeds. I work out rare woods by including the cost of turning them into planks, cause planks sell at a profit, logs dont. third place is flax at 46250 profit plus seeds.
  4. I think this race sounds like a cracking idea and I hope combat guy wins! It sounds like the main bone of contention is that the skiller racer would have a useless account at the end. Its a shame trade restrictions wont allow us to reward the winner to compensate them for neglecting their main account. :wall: but Ill donate 3k
  5. for all those with a a spare tab, or not sure what to do with it - I use it to store all the things i need for the task im currently doing. Im smithing ores into cannonballs now, so my last tab just has coal, iron ore and cannonballs in (the mould is in inventary now). Just a suggestion
  6. Familiars and pets that can RUN to keep up with me!! :wall:
  7. This is a really simple tip - only applies to laptops. I managed to get HD working fine on my laptop yesterday, (after updating my graphics drivers twice!) I tried to log in today and it wouldnt let me in! Turns out I was running on battery today, whereas yesterday I was plugged into the mains. Obviously my laptop is only barely good enough for HD, and even the slightest change stops me! More of a story that advice - just remember all u fellow laptopers, your settings may change from battery to mains!
  8. Hows this for getting bored: My goal was to get the quest cape, and using Tip.it quest calc I could see what stats i needed to get. So there was me grinding at wc (72 for back to my roots) and farming and rcing etc. I would get the reqs for a quest then do that quest. Then one day I looked at the quest calc and everything was green! I was ready, all i had to do to get quest cape was do me2! But i got bored, never did it. Didnt want to complete my goal because that would leave me with nothing else to do in rs, couldnt face grinding for the sake of levels, so i stopped logging on so often. But now there is Rocking out - I need 3 smithing lvls, 3 crafting lvls and a thieving lvl! So im back, chasing goals!!! But this time I will complete, because I already know what my next goal is - achievement diaries!!
  9. Id prefer if the default setting for the subject line was blank, or making the font size for it and the line under it for every post a bit smaller. I find it hard to find the text of peoples posts with these 2 overbearing and unhelpful lines. Used to be a line before peoples sigs, I'd like to see that return, again to help read posts. I also have a problem whereby once i finish reading a topic I usually press backspace to get me back to the forum, this no longer works if someone has posted a reply anywhere in that forum and I have to refresh the page. The old forums automatically refreshed. But good work you guys, I'm well impressed!
  10. Your hard work and personal sacrifice do you all massive credit. I have always felt Tip.it was the best rs fansite, and with you guys in charge it just makes it soo much better. Utmost respect from this user!
  11. if you look at the 4th developement diary they had 5 types of dogs shown. My guess would be that they release one type of all the familiars in the first update, then with the second comes all the other choices. So with the example of the dogs, in jan we will only be able to summon bulldogs, but in feb, with the same lvl you can choose which breed of dog you would like.
  12. construction can be updated if you just think outside the box. A quest that as a reward allows you to pay less for planks. Indeed Jagex has implemented things like this already with the likes of the crystal saw. They could place more portals, or a way that allows you to access your home from any of the portals. Prehaps, as my biggest idea of all (i make them all up as i sit here and type) to allow friends houses to be placed next to each other, like a road! So you can visit all your friends houses without exiting house mode. then you can have street parties! and an increase in the number of house portals available because your friends will have different ones to you. Another update, that would be even better if my street idea comes to fruition, is to have outdoor christmas lights for your house! This could be 2008 christmas special with all the fun of falling off ladders and getting electricuted by a giant inflatable singing santa! im soo putting this in the suggestions boxin RSOF
  13. Also posted this in RSOF, but figured I'd get a more 'upmarket' response here: Fighting the RWT and gold farmers seems to be Jagex's no.1 priority. Yet to me it is going about it in a very negative way, trying to stop this and that etc. Prehaps a more positive alternative can be found. Has Jagex ever considered bots of its own? Police bots that roam the likely bot areas and can auto report or some such other mechanism to hunt them down and rid us of the bots. They could be made to look like police and have NPC qualities that us law abiding player can interract with. Im sorry that I don't have the technical mind with which to develope the idea further, I will have to leave that to Jagex's programmers, but prehaps the idea of this positive outlook on the problem will be more appealing that the prospect of removing or nefing large parts of the game.
  14. make her collect dyed bloated frogs, then get you and a few friends to fire them at her with the fixed device from ME1, then make her get all annoyingly nooby and watch her try to annoy lots of high level players by using a rubber chicken in cw or pc
  15. I'd say this would be an exaggeration. As you know, everyime a new item appears, prices are massively unstable. If jagex were to ban people for paying wild prices, a lot of innocent people would get banned. Also, people pay wild prices if they want items immediately, or if they are unsure of the price. I don't think jagex would be so quick to ban, prehaps just flagging that person up to be watched/black marked
  16. how can you put a price cap on items worth almost nothing? You can make them unsellable, or only sellable at an 'average sale price as calculated from the last 10 GE sales' but then you are left with deciding which items to apply this to and which to leave as player decided prices, and the RWT'ers can just use different items. At best jagex will only be able to slow down the transfer of gold from RWT'ersto their customers, making it more convoluted, or by only being able to do it incrementally
  17. RWT will still be able to carry on even if drops and p2p trading are stopped. I have thought of at least three ways: 1. sell ashes in GE for 10m, the autoer buys. 2. Autoer buys a rare (for full price so avoids jagex tracking system) sell to an out of the way general store, the shop price of rare is negligable, and partner buys and then sells rare for full price again. 3. wilderness. yes jagex can track people who take cash into wilderness and die, but it is easily hidden by taking valuble items instead eg rares. with the last two, this will cause the price of rares to go up as increase in demand. this even helps the RWT'ers! Jagex can put measures in place to stop these methods, the first 2 can be stopped by their detection systems being made specifically aware of them, the third would be much harder to stop as the RWT'ers can continually change the items they die with, eg one day die with 20 crystal bows, the next day die with couple mil noted sharks or whatever. So here's a forth option for RWT'ers! again of the top of my head. 4. party room on an empty ish room late at night, and mask with lots of bots in the room also. in conclusion, no matter what jagex do to stop RWT, they, as professional companies, will always look for ways around it, and so imo jagex will accept some level of cheaters so as not to destroy the game, as in rl compromise is always a must - now to convince the whining 9 yr olds of the same lol
  18. Man this thing is soo cool! I love to wield it then wonder around lumby, and getting loads of newbs asking about my bazooka! utterly brilliant, especially as i can shoot coloured frogs at em still. (if only they turned the newb green lol) it always makes me laugh when ppl try to report me for cheating and bringing a gun into the game. Of course i never tell ppl its a quest item, i lead em on by calling it a bazooka or whatever. Anyone else have fun doing this? Or other newb wind ups?
  19. prayer against magic is helpful for both times you fight in the crypt
  20. you need 1 water filled vial for the goblin transformation potion (and 1 toadflax) you need 1 empty vial, and pestle and mortar, and black mushroom(picked up just outside temple entrancewhere guards are), for the black dye The tele runes are optional, one to fally for the makeover mage. Another to either ardougne or camelot to get to hemenster. A lumb tele to get back to dorgeshun, (or use home tele) You can either use glory ammy or walk from either lumb or fally to draynor in order to go see Maggie.
  21. u can wield weapons and armour for the fights, and prayer against magic seemed to work for me (their attacks splashed on 0's so i assume magic even tho its a bow animation) note, as far as im aware the guards assign people different goblin names, and tho i didnt try it, u might be able to chose a different name if u dont like the one the guard guesses. it doesnt matter which form of goblin u take, its just fashion preference lol!
  22. I was a bit dissappointed by the equipment builder tip.it recently released. It lists all the items alphebetically, whereas I wanted to use it to determine what piece of armour I was going to buy next to improve on my current rune armour. In excel it is possible to re sort the whole list in order of the various stats. So for example if I wanted to know which shield offered a better range def bonus that rune kite say, i could click the range def bonus column and it would reshuffle the list in ascending order of range def bonus. The shop database is similaly alphebetically organised. I wanted to find which shops sell a particular item, but it was of no help to me. (there is a search funtion but it always showed the same results - suggesting i could get dragon skirt from an archery store??) The shop database could be linked to the items database. In the items database there is a box for 'speciality shop sells for' that could contain a link to what shop it is refering to. Thats my tuppence worth; a market price guide would be helpful too, but I felt the previous comment that Jagex could use their trade stats to show the average price of the last 500 (or 50 or whatever) transactions, would fulfil the needs of traders much better than any price guide outsiders such as tip.it can get together. ps I hope to see the rfd subquests taken into account in the quest calculator soon ;)
