Best things to high alch?

Featured Replies

Need to alch my way to 70 mage (63 currently) any suggestions on what I should alch?

I'm f2p only, and I would be buying nats... Any other questions just ask

Hmm, f2p hi-alching is kinda tricky. Some popular things that people alch for are steel platebodies (You *will* lose money if you don't forge them yourselves) or green d-hide bodies, losing a little money per alch. I haven't alched in a while, so I might need someone else to comfirm this, but f2p don't have too much things to alch without losing money.

Good-luck. :D

If you buy Rubies, and mine gold, make gold necklaces.

Alch them, you should close to break even, with almost no losses.

Thanks guys, I'm gonna have to start out with emerald ammys until I raise my crafting a bit. Thanks again :)

I not sure how now but i remember on RSOF sometimes ppl bought Maple longs for alching :)

Jewerly is good decision just rubies is good on P2P for rings of forging is like waste of they to alch jewerly with they...

BTW: Don't try to alch armour sets from GE, i alched one and got just few gp (like 15-25gp) :) for some set:) if i good remember it was green dhide set :)

Suggestion: You can use Anchor on Waterfiends - is cheap if to compare to GS & effective with crush attack & it hit like Whip.

Consider several things when levelling mage. Cost and time taken are the main factors and boredom can be considered but I consider most methods of mage training to be as boring as each other.

You require 369028 xp to raise from 63 - 70

High level alchemy costs one nature rune each time and gains 65 xp

Therefore the cost in runes alone if we assume 270 for nature is 1.5 million. The time if we assume 1000 alchs per hour is approx 6 hours.

Splash cursing mage ie using one body,2 water and 3 earth will cost 75 gp per cast based on 15gp per water and earth and free bodies (these are so often not even picked up by other players). At 31 xp per cast the cost is 892k and will take 17 hours at 35k per hour.

At your level I believe that money is more of a problem so the second option might be better. However the best solution of all is to use every spell that is available to you ie do some enchant jewellery, firestrikes, high alch. splash curse, superheat etc. This will ensure minimum cost and least boredom
