Lore
I've been wondering, if you're using both range boosting pots and prayer, is the prayer bonus calculated on the base figure or the boosted figure? at 75 range, 15% is equal to 11.25 points. add to that 10 points of range pot and your range is now at 95.25 applied pot then prayer, you are adding 15% of your potted 85 range (12.75), resulting in a range of 97.75 It's not really enough that it will make a huge difference, but I was just wondering :) Xkcd | Misfile | Least I Could Do | Explosm | Schlock | Blog
agira
I think yes, i mean boosted with pot range you can boost with prayer too. I not tested it with ranged but i a lot of times used it with Str or Attack, like i boost str with dragon battleaxe, then i drin restore potion, then i drink super attack potion, then i wear for example against undeads salve amulet (e) + 20% attack and str against they and i can use still prayer combo with it it will increase damage more... Edited: Drink pot and use pray then i think Suggestion: You can use Anchor on Waterfiends - is cheap if to compare to GS & effective with crush attack & it hit like Whip.Visit my exp track
Lore
Thanks :) So, how should I go about testing this? Edit: Reading that again, I think you may have misunderstood. I'm simply wondering which way the game applies the bonuses, not whether you have to pray then pot or pot then pray. Lore
as per the first post, it is a difference. the difference being whether you're applying the 15% to a smaller or larger number, resulting in a smaller or larger final level Xkcd | Misfile | Least I Could Do | Explosm | Schlock | Blog
Matok
good question :D i have no idea but as you said, there is no much difference between the two. For level 100 (easier to calculate) it will be: 100 + 13(range pot) + 15 (prayer) = 128 100 + 13(range pot) + 19.5 (prayer) = 132.5 I think that the best way is to apply this question to Jagex.. [EDIT] actually there is a way to test it by using the damage table in the Ranged Guide. though i am not sure how accurate is it. take a level 50 range. 50 + 8 (pot) + 7.5 = 65.5 = 65 50 + 8 (pot) + 8.7 = 66.7 = 66 according to the damage table ,lvl 65 max hit will be 8 with bronze arrows while lvl 66's max hit will be 9 ... as i said, not sure how accurate is this table. Lore
Hmm, thanks matok :) I'll simply ask jagex, who knows? maybe i'll actually get a response : that'll be the day... as to finding a lvl 50 ranger with 44 prayer..
