i am interested in raising my mage while casting on metals using chaos runes and gauntlets. but i am not sure if my mage level is high enough. is 73 high enough to not miss insane amounts? i am 86 range and i sometimes hit 0's like crazy :boohoo: . if not what level is needed to train here efficiently? also what equips do i need to wear besides the gauntlets? i tried the search engine for a guide with no luck, if anyone knows of one please link me up :thumbsup: thanks for any input.

Maging them is extremely inefficient. I have 83 magic and I still splash 80% of the time In full ahrim's. Using melee is best IMO because proselyte and a whip are usable indefinitely whereas with maging you are very likely to not get your money back.

im 97 mage, maged metals to get, and i still splashed sometimes a little, sometimes alot, so, i would advise alching to 80+, then it will be alot faster

Yeah Im lvl 86 mage and I trained at metals for quite awhile, i didnt really care about how many kills i got, but I did splash a ton not gonna lie. Getting into the 80s definitly helps. I'd probably follow the range lvl sugguestion for metals. 85+

try to get the best mage gear as possible, you wont get hit very often ( unless your me who looks on tip.it while maging them and listens for when he gets hit ), and inventory and equipment if you want :thumbsup:
