n_odie
Before you read this plz take a look at the replies in this post:http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=734114 In before the lock! I have seen this more and more often. This is because of new forum users trying to get a free post to their post count. The question comes up... what good does it to have threads like this locked. I understand some that have semi meaning but useless junk? Threads in wrong area or not on a stick for example should be locked because the person who posted would need to see the reply. Basically... We need to delete spam not lock it. Sorry if rambling. ~N This is a better look at it:While this may be more work for mods: why not clean a thread out before locking it? :-s As in why don't we do both? Or why not clean a thread instead of locking it? Sorry, I was really tired when i wrote that. What i mean is: If a thread needs to be locked take out all useless post. IN before lock ect. leaving only post that give a url to correct thread or forum. Why: While post counts are not a big deal spam is! The reason there are so many spam post is that it has become a trend. BY erasing the spam you will erase the trend. While would someone post a in before lock post if they knows it's just going to be deleted? They won't! Delete the Spam = Delete the trend Cons: more work for you guys. A few annoyed posters This actually understandable? ~N RIP MichaelangelopolousThanks to cowboy14 for the pimp sig!
