Fusionha
The New Age of RuneScape Note: A Brief Overview is t the bottom of the page. When I was a about a level 20 in RuneScape, about a year and a half ago (RSC), I was mining at the Dwarven Mines and I met a level 92. This was an amazing occurrence to me, for level 90̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s and above were very uncommon at that time. Approximately a year later, I saw a level 120 and thought nothing of it, for this was quite common at the time to be in the high level 100̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâs. I have found it interesting to watch the fluctuating world and market of RuneScape. In this new age, era, or whatever you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d like to call it, there is a new type of computer gamer, the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅNew Gamer̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Å. This gamer is the friend you know that is always there when you log on. This gamer is one of the people that has 50 Mil ExP in one skill. This gamer is the one that either gets no sleep, does not have a life, or something else (a mystery to me). These gamers are the ones that are creating the new age of RuneScape. Many things are changing in this new age; I will give you but a few examples of this. Here we go; the economy is inflating (for those of you who do not know, Inflation is when the value of money or items goes down. The US Dollar for example). The value of items in the game has gone down. This is happening because of the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅNew Gamer̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâà

Absolut-Kaos
a year and a half all this already started. you're too new to be speculating about this. lvl 90 was hardly rare a year and a half ago, hell by then wdb was at 3 chars over lvl 100 (pokey had 99 hp, dunno if wdb did or if he was just close) and bigaboys with 2 over 110. anyway, jagex should be trying to drain money from the game soon. barrows armor is the best in the game by far and will drain a fair bit of money from the high levels who are constantly using it. and no, I dont mean those people will get poor, but they'll be getting money out of the game by spending it on npcs instead of other players, who put the money back into circulation. inner_breed
just because you cant afford dragon armor or a whip or something, doesent mean u need to post a rant. the economy is plumiting, why dont u get 85 slayer? thats what i thought u lazy noob, too lazy to work for soem gold? how many months does it take to get 85 slayer do u know? well imagine that it takes 1 day to get a whip(roughly) meanwile duelers can make 10m in about how long? 2 mins? so ya right slayer and gamers have a lot to do with it.... the 85 slayers worked their ases off to get 85, now i think they should be rewarded. also what business is it of you if someone gets 50 mil in a skill? they payed their 5$, they spent their hours, they deserve their high score. lay off do i flame you for training attack or something! no! Runescape veteran. Originally adventurer (and mage on other account), now pker.

Silver_Dragon
Well...its like this in every game. (In game)The ones who have the less of a life win, and the ones who have more of a life lose. That's how MMORPG's work, cant say I agree with it, but that's how life is. If somebody wants to spend all his/her time on the computer, so be it. I'm not going to preach to 'em about it (Unlike some people  ) JaGeX has attempted to right this problem by creating black holes to take GP from the economy and disappear it; such as the new armor deterioration. There has been more attempted money sinks before the armor deterioration; such as the crystal bow, mage that enchants battlestaves, the fee for traveling from port sarim to Karamja, mages having to buy runes from shop, the champion's guild rune armor (waaaayy back in RSC, not sure if it was supposed to be a sink tho, but hundreds of players were buying rune from that store when it first came out), and many more, but none have really drained that much money outta the economy. BRIEF OVERVIEW: Players that play a lot to raise skills are creating a reverse siphon and flooding the RS economy with new money which is causing the decrease in value, or rarity, of items in the game. Well, party hats and other holiday items are the exception. They gain value over time, and unless there is another mass duping of rares, (As in RSC), then their prices will not fall much, but go up. miyajima
There are three types of people in the game: The Average: Spends time getting RS money and skills but not addicted The Addict: Speaks for itself really, beleive me I regret introducing RS to my school.... The Noob: Spends all their time begging, following, calling other hi lvl ppl n00bs and the like. (And then theres the elite...)
