Soma2035 Posted February 15, 2008 Share Posted February 15, 2008 By the way, just because someone stopped paying as much for membership doesn't mean he doesn't play anymore. Put it this way. If you had 200k Legit players before, 30k of them were pures, then a lot of them would have discontinued membership. They probably would've resumed playing on their original "main" accounts... so although 30k accounts are no longer played, the actual change in the "players playing" listed on the website doesn't change nearly as much. Also, despite it being against the rules, a LOT of people had second accounts to hold extra items for them, be it in case of hackers or for more bank space. These accounts are definitely all unsubscribed by now as well, but they aren't usually counted. While Runescape is far from "dead", it's definitely lost a lot of members.
