Barrows Help

well after some time i thought id do barrow running as im bored out of my wits and want to earn some decent money. only problem is my budget. i have 1.2m to use and thats it, no weapon/armor on me etc. what should i use/buy and how efficiant is it. i use an average 2-3 ppots per trip and i dont have 55 slayer for dart. my starts are:

 

ATK:80

 

DEF:80

 

STR:80

 

HP:81

 

RANGE:70

 

PRAYER:60

 

MAGE:74.

 

 

 

also any links/guides or images of setus are 100% welcome. just i wanted to keep trying it as i've only done 25 runs and gotten no barrows item what so ever. thanks for the help if you reply.

oh should also point out i have an altar in my house with a teleport to canifis and i've done myreque quests if that helps.

Well, i used slayer sart spell, brought 4 p pots, quick tele out and rest sharks.

 

 

 

I wore mystic hat and bottom, monk robe top, dds, mage short bow, mith arrows and a few other stuff i cant remember

your stats dont make a difference to what you get, im 90 cb, 73 att 67 str 72 df 72 hp 56 range 61 mage, and guess how many barrows items ive got?

barrows is only worth doing it if your very lucky, so u get guthan spear on other good item. its up to you wether you do it or not.

 

 

 

note: the mage xp is pretty good (from killing melee bros)

u don't have to wear mage boosting gear since all the brothers have incredibly low mage def...well into the negatives except for karil and ahrim and even then maging karil is still a good option. so put on good melee defensive armour like rune or barrows if u can afford it...if u have a high enough def lvl 85+ u can chose not to pray on all the melee bros except dharok...i usually pray only on dharok and sometimes karil...

Canifis altar and Myreque quests help so much with barrows. My invent is black dragon hide body and legs with mage short, 100 rune arrows equipped,

 

torag's plate and Guthan's legs. I wear farseer, mystic top, mystic bottom, mystic boots, no shield or god book, god cape, combat bracelet and earth staff.

 

Bring any number of bloods (at least 200) and have the number of bloods times 5 equal the number of air runes so you can earth wave.

 

For supplies I bring 2 prayer pots, all my gear, a teletab to house, spade and rest food. Pray on dharok, karil, and if you have extra points ahrim. This allows me to double chest at lower stats then you.

Buy: Torags helm, glory ammy, rune kite, guthans plate, verac skirt(or guth skirt), mystic boots and the best gloves you can get(or combat bracelet).

 

Use the best wave spell you have.

 

 

 

 

 

And you shouldn't use prayer pots at all. Try guthan without prayer and if you are comfortable with that try torag and eventually verac without. A super defense pot is very cheap and helps loads.

in my opinion ancients is the best way to go. use the best freezeing spell u can and ur set. i only need to use prayer shortly on karil if im unlucky enough to get him in a tunnel. there is a guide on how to do it exactly in the AOW.
