The Big Food Index! 140+ foods indexed!Recovered!

Featured Replies

Welcome to the big juicy food index!

I worked hard on getting a list of all the food available in RuneScape and I hope this will help you if you ever need food. I'll also say what I personally suggest for certain purposes.

Ok, first things first, a list from Anchovies to ... Worm Crunchies?

Let's give a quick explanation on how this works.

All food is put into a hide tab as to not stretch the page.

Every food will be listed like this:

Food - How much it heals - Additional info - Members (M = members, F = free)

The amount of health healed by things like pizzas and pies will be for the total, not per slice. I will mention the amount healed by one slice in the additional info.

Simple, right?

Sometimes you'll be able to click the food to go to its Grand Exchange database page.

Here's the top 5 in a few things!

Here you can click the food to check it's GE Database page.

[hide=Highest Heal]1. Tuna Potato, Manta Ray, Wild Pie, Summer Pie, Pineapple Pizza - 22

2. Sea Turtle - 21

3. Mushroom Potato, Shark - 20

4. Curry, Ugthanki Kebab, Karambwan - 19

5. Anchovy Pizza - 18[/hide]

[hide=Top 5 - GP per HP]Nothing in here heals under 10.

Kebabs are not included because they're random.

Everything in here will be listed like this:

Food - HP Healed - GP/HP <-- where to buy from

Prizes last updated: 01/06/'08(DD/MM/YY)

1. Cake - 12 - 5.5/1 <-- Buy from players.

2. Veg Ball - 12 - 8/1 <-- Buy from players. NOT from the gnomes store.

Tuna - 10 - 8/1 <-- Buy from players.

3. Worm Hole - 12 - 9/1 <-- Buy from players. NOT from the gnomes store.

Stew - 11 - 9/1 <-- Buy from Warrior Guild food shop. NOT from players.

4. Bottle of Wine - 14 - 18/1 <-- Buy from players.

5. Plain Pizza - 14 - 20/1 <-- Buy from players.[/hide]

[hide=Top 5 - Personal Opinion]This list will include food that I'd recommend for certain activities like Slayer, monster hunting, agility, etc.

This is a personal opinion, so it might not always be the best, also, don't blindly trust this list.

This does not include potions and if you need to know how to kill a certain monsters, look at tip.it's monster hunting guide.

Agility

1. Cake - 12 in 3 slices - This is number one on the Top 5 - GP/HP, and since Agility doesn't require that much food, this is a good option.

2. Monkfish - 16 - This one actually heals pretty good for its price. It's not in the Top 5 but still useful.

3. Under construction.

Boss monsters Note: choose food that'll keep you alive at your level!

1. Sharks - 20 - This one is pretty expensive (usually around 800gp) but worth it.

2. Tuna Potatoes - 22 - Also expensive (usually around 1K) but it heals 2 more, so it's certainly worth it. I use these for quest bosses frequently, since it has the highest heal in the game.

3. Monkfish - 16 - If the boss you're killing isn't too hard, this is great. A cheap food that'll keep you there for a while.

4. Lobster - 12 - This is really for the easiest bosses around, I don't suggest for things like KBD, KQ, ...

5. Bottle of wine - 14 - ONLY WHEN RANGING/MAGING! This drink heals 14, but it reduces your attack which will also make melee much harder, especially after a full inventory.

Slayer

1. Monkfish - 16 - No doubt. This food will never cease to amaze me, a nice heal for a decent price.

2. Shark - 20 - This is more expensive, but also heals more. One inventory will last you longer.

3. Pineapple Pizza - 22 - This food, which is usually around 600gp, has the highest heal in the game, but it's eaten in 3 slices.

4. Lobster - 12 - This can especially be useful if you're using easy masters to get a streak of 5, since they give small tasks that don't require a lot of food.

THIS LIST IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION.[/hide]

Soon to come - Suggest one :D

[hide=Q&A]I ate something the other day but I can't find it here!

Well, there's two answers to this question: I only added things that heal. Second is if their HP wasn't written in the item database, I didn't include it.

Will you update this frequently?

Depends on users feedback, and new releases. If I get help from you, the readers, I might make a lot more Top 5's.

Why is this here?

I have too much free time... Also, the Top 5's could be useful to people in need of food. And... I was bored?[/hide]

[hide=Credits]Jagex for making RuneScape, the GE Database and ofcourse all the food listed here.

Post your feedback and comments please!

The Hide tabs aren't working. I dont know how they should be though.

EDIT:Never mind, I didn't read the top of your post.

Edited the Top 5 - GP/HP

This got damaged in the rollback I see...

It's mostly there, just missing a few things.

Forgot Karambwan (I think that's the name?), heals 19, have to do Tai Bwo Wanna Trio quest.

All pies are eaten in two slices.(Includes Wild, Summer, Fish, etc.)

Need a new signature....perhaps...

Ah, thanks.

New top 5 inserted, it's under construction but I think it'll be the most useful one on here together with the Top 5 - GP/HP.

"Personal Opinion".

Nice name. Although for agility, you want to keep your HP low so failing does less damage. So monkfish = baddd for agility. Nice food for Slayer/Combat though. (roughly the same cost of lobster with 4 more healing.)

Hmm, I use Monkfish occasionally (like in the Duel Arena), what I noticed is having low HP didn't really affect my succes when doing the course, it was mostly luck. And also, it's more HP in one inventory => you can stay longer.

My meaning has been misplaced.

Less HP = Less damage from FAILING. I never said anything about affecting chances of failure.

I thought it was Less damage taken = more time staying? :-s

Depends how you look at it. But with your example, I can get low HP, so, like you said, I lose less HP when I fail, then heal 16 at once, and continue... OR I could do it with cakes, where I'd heal 3 each bite, keeping me at low HP.

Also, sorry to have misunderstood.

Edited the Top 5 - Personal opinion a bit.

gotta put pineapple pizzas 600ea heals 22

27GP/HP, too high to go in the Top 5

Thanks for the suggestion though :)

more useful than sharks during slayer

im pretty sure wine heals 11

That's Jug of Wine. I don't know, I never bothered to use bottled wine before. :-k

Also, something else I came across for the food index.

Karambwanji (also related to Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest)

However, I have no idea how much it heals, but it's used to fish for Karambwan, so it's worth looking into.

Yeah, it's jug of wine that heals 11. But I personally tested the bottle of wine, and it gave me 14 hp.

I'll look into the Karambwanji, thanks.

Also, thanks for posting here regularly, Ultimakoto, you've been a great help :)

EDIT: Inserted a few more minor things. Also, Karambwanji only heals 3, the same as chicken.

Baskets of strawberries. :)

What about them? =/

potato, you missed the incredible poo-tah-toh

You can't eat raw potato's, and a baked potato is in there.

EDIT: sorry, you can eat raw potatoes, they heal 1.

Baskets of strawberries heal 30. 5 strawberries in each basket, all healing 6hp each.

Havn't done any calculations, but probably has a good gold/hp rate.

I've had the basket of strawberries suggestion a lot, but the thing is, you'll need 5 inventory spots to actually heal yourself with it. So that brings us to the fact that strawberries heal under 10hp, so it's not included.

Thanks for the suggestion.

pretty sure we can eat Dwellberries. you need a "d " food. :-)

i can confirm you can eat dwellberries
