After I complete 99 farming I plan to rune-craft a purple party hat, what is the quickest way to do this through the abyssal looking at equipment and familiars the time to get the levels to obtain equipment is excessive that the time I got it in I would be able to Runecraft enough runes that I would.. you get the idea.

Best equipment

Lightest clothes you can find (boots of weightlessness etc)

mithril pickaxe (lightest pickaxe)

All 4 pouches

Any summon that holds ess -OR- terrorbird

Super Energy Potions (if *not* using terrorbird)

Lots of glories

Pure ess

Thats all I can think of right now, the people after me can correct/add things.

Hope I helped, and good luck ^_^

A few corrections, or my opinon rather:

1) Penace gloves if you got, hunter cape, boots of lightness, bear mask, elemental shield/sara book, and ghostly robes.

2) never use terrorbird. always use the Abyssal Familiars. The terrorbird really won't help you at all since you just drink 1-2 dose of pot at the bank. however, the abby familiar can be like a whole other pouch. Think about how hard you would work if Jagex released a 5th pouch, then balance that over not having to drink energy pots.

3) Craft cosmics, then deaths for maximum profit until double nats.

Hiya,

There are numerous paths you can take while Runecrafting. What you must know before beginning is that prices on Runes have dropped a lot and Pure essence has rose in price a lot. This means that Runecrafting is nowhere near as profitable in the past, thus you have to do a lot more Runecrafting in order to reach your goal.

Best of luck, now on to the tips!

I suggest a number of things in order to help you through your goal.

First off, wear light clothes. It is all preference, but I just wore my Spotted cape (The best one, I forget what it is called) and the light boots along with my elemental shield, a glory, and a Castle Wars ring. (For if I forgot to exchange my glory)

I do not find the revenants to be a problem whatsoever, I can easily escape if one were to try and catch me, but some people do have problems. In that case, I would suggest a crystal shield. You wouldn't have to recharge them as much when Runecrafting, and you would be surprised how much they help. Like I said though, it is all personal preference.

Second, as for Summoning, I raised my Summoning so that I could use the Abyssal guys. I thought it was a complete waste of time. If you are mainly just starting Runecrafting and are in no routine, then incorporate the Abyssal Guys and you should have no problem whatsoever. I just had a hard time because I had a routine that allowed me to maximize runes per hour without the Abyssal Guys, when I incorporated them in, I got slower. Never use the Terrorbird. Either use the Abyssal guys or don't, it is all personal preference.

As for what you should make, well... it all depends.

If you are not too familiar with the abyss and don't have a huge routine going on, I would switch to ZMI with four pouches then do air running once a day for your maxed out of 30k assistance a day. What this does, is it allows you to get to 91 Runecrafting faster, which is double nats. It is a proven statistic that if you do ZMI at first, then get to 91, with the time saved, you will profit more. So, ZMI is your best bet if you wish to maximize profit. As for me, I tried both ZMI and Abyss. I found ZMI utterly boring, but many do not. I suggest you give both a try.

Here is a fun guide to ZMI Runecrafting which should help you greatly...

As for pouch placement, that is preference also.

There are a number of tricks that can help maximize your speed. You have four pouches. Small (s) Medium (m) Large(l) Giant (g)

You can either place them in the top right corner of your inventory, like this. (Which is my personal favorite. It allows me to bank faster since they are closer to the X.)

sg

ml

Then click on the small pouch to empty it and you notice you have to scroll down a tiny bit, then you when you click to empty it, you just rapidly right click and you are already ready to empty the next pouch. Same goes with the other side.

This placement is the same other than it isn't two rows, it is one.

s

g

m

l

Same goes with this one. Right click empty right click empty, etc.

Finally, there is the second to last row trick.

Line up all your pouches on the second to last row and start from the right to empty it. You will notice that when you empty it, and you right click for the next pouch, you are already on the next empty of the pouch.

I find this method to be annoying, and not always effective, but a lot of people love it.

Either way, Runecrafting is a fun skill, have fun! :D
