Questions about a new graphics card.

Featured Replies

I am buying a Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT card, and I have a question:

1. Will it be able to connect to a normal monitor that I have?(17" flatscreen, standard D-SUB port and a DVI-D port.)

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.

Yes you will be able to. The 9600gt has two dvi ports. DVI would be the better choice for picture quality also.

One last question: Does the card come with a cord for either port?

No it wont. If your monitor did not come with a dvi cable then you will need to buy one.

Or if your current display is hooked up by vga (d-sub) then you can just use that because the card comes with a vga to dvi adaptor.

Actually, I'm using a D-SUB right now, thanks for the help.
