I want to take this song and put it onto my iPod, but when I download it, I am unable to open it with anything other than Musicmatch Jukebox. I've tried to save it into the iTunes folders, but that doesn't work, and I can't click-drag the file into iTunes, the way you can with most files into folders and such. Is it at all possible for me to make this transfer? And if so, how? I;ve already checked the iTunes store, and they don't have it, so the easiest solution is out.

What format is the song in?

 

If it's anything other than mp3 or AAC, then you'd be best off downloading a mp3 convertor (Cant think of one off the top of my head), running the song through that and trying again

From past experience, dragging it directly to the ipod doesn't work too well. You could try another program (mediamokey or winamp) or you could burn the song to a cd, then rip that cd into your itunes library.

It does say it's an mp3 file. I liek that idea of burning it to a disc and then ripping it. I have plenty of blank CDs lying around here somewhere.

Try going

 

File -> Add File -> Song

I burned it to a disc, and was able to put it into my library by going to file->add file to library. Then just a matter of synching it. Thanks to those who helped
