June 15, 200818 yr Magics are better money but slow without a d axe. So, unless you have one use yews to 99 or until you get a d axe. June 15, 200818 yr Hmm if you really need the cash stick with magics after 90, eitherway I say yews are better for exp and cash not to mention there are way more of them through out runescape. (You also cut them faster....like you can cut an average of 1.5 magics by the time you cut 4 yews, yews cost as much with enough exp)
June 15, 200818 yr Grr. Magics are insanely slow. They're for level 75 woodcutters that think they're better money. The thing is, magics don't speed up with growing levels. I have confirmed studies that magics are the same speed between 75 and 99 WC. Yews are better money, better exp. With a D Axe, they're sped up by about 1 extra log every 80 cut. But it's true. Magics are always the same speed. I've had to say this multiple times here. It's the sad truth. Cut Eucs or Yews for money.
