June 20, 200818 yr I have been seeing level 99 fishers fish sharks in Catherby. Why? Why not use the fishing guild? (I haven't been to the fishing guld in years though, not sure if anything has changed).
June 20, 200818 yr I like to fish in Catherby because sometimes I have crops growing (north of Catherby bank), and if I'm growing an expensive herb, like ranarr or snapdragon, I like to run up there to check that it's not diseased. Also, sometimes (emphasis on sometimes), the conversation is better in Catherby than the Fishing Guild. Sometimes the Fishing Guild is dead silent and it's not fun for people that like to chat and skill. That's just my reasoning, other people might have different reasons for fishing there. June 20, 200818 yr I can go in teh fishing guild too, but it is such a pain to get there without a teleport. Also, the look of Catherby is much better than the guild which is why I fish in Catherby. June 20, 200818 yr I can go in teh fishing guild too, but it is such a pain to get there without a teleport. Also, the look of Catherby is much better than the guild which is why I fish in Catherby. Skills Necklace has a teleport there. (Enchanted Dragonstone necklace, if you didn't know.)

Silent as a grave most of the time...
June 21, 200818 yr Author Thanks for all the replies. A 99er told me today that the reason he fished at catherby was because the guild had lower catch rates. ANy truth to this? I guess I'll find out in a few more levels :P
June 21, 200818 yr It really depends on your luck on how fast you catch fish. I catch swords and tunas faster barehanded in the guild than at catherby.
