MicroLegionnaire
Before Summoning came out, things like vampire dust, empty fishbowls, marigolds, ruby harvest butterflies and other items had pretty much no use at all. Now, most of them are highly sought after secondary ingredients for summoning. Summoning has made inane and pretty much overlooked items like tinderboxes and gold rings become useful for training once more. What you do think? gonearctic1
I know that i have had a lot of "useless" items, especially gold rings, laying around in my bank. That makes it alot easier for me to get rid of them, once i start working on summoning again.
bbjoe282
the same thing can be said about the low level logs along with mohog and teak (correct me if im wrong) and nails to an extent when construction came out.
Deathmath
Yes it's a sinkhole. But the items aren't worthless anymore, and it was a neat experiment with the economy. True. Prices will also go down over time. Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
Madmanpur3
I don't think it can really be considered a sinkhole when the trading is done player to player, meaning no money is leaving the game. Zierro
Yeah, it's a sinkhole. The items are leaving the game in exchange for pouches. Like someone said, it's kind of like Construction with logs and planks.
Alg
It's pretty good though, you're converting all of those useless things into something good. No high level player would have ever wanted to pick up Guam Leaves, and now the Macaw puts them alongside some of the better herbs. I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
EragonShadeslayer
I think its good that they have given us a use for all of those useless items. I'm glad for some of it like mosquito proboscis because I had almost 100 proboscis from when I liked playing the mini game. When I became a member again this summer I found out they were 4k each \ I made a fortune! ~Eragon~

Planted quite a few marigolds back then, threw them all away once they were grown...
Theboy1001
I think that's good. There were too many useless items in the game, and we needed something for htem to do. I think that was a very clever updates by Jagex. RSLinkss! A new RuneScape forum! PM me for details.
Zaaps1
Definitely. It's created a profitable way to train crafting f2p - you profit off gold rings. ~It's Super Effective!
