Is this a good Barrows setup?

Hi,

 

 

 

I wanna try Barrows after I get 55slayer and want to know if this setup and inventory will work. Heres the setup:

 

 

 

Intiate Helm

 

Glory

 

Obby Cape(undecided about this)

 

Intiate Body

 

Intiate Legs

 

Climbing Boots(should I go back and rebuy rune boots?)

 

Rune Gaunts

 

ROL

 

Slayer Staff

 

 

 

Inventory:

 

2/3 Prayer Potions(3/4 dose)

 

Ectophial

 

Spade

 

800 Minds and 200deaths

 

Whip/DDS

 

MSB Red Bottom and Top with 90 Addy Arrows

 

15 Monkfish

 

 

 

Stats:

 

70 Attack and Defense

 

71 Strength and Hp

 

60 Range and 54 Magic

 

50 Prayer

You'll have a little trouble in initiate. Try at least rune.

What sort of budget are you working with?

 

 

 

I see you have 70 attack, strength and defence, so if you are working with a high budget this could be an option:

 

 

 

 

(Replace items such as fury, d boots, barrow gloves, black d hide with glory, rune boots, rune gloves, red d hide.)

 

This set up will let you last a long time, doing maybe 8 or so runs without banking.

 

 

 

If you are on a low budget, this might be more of a suitable option for you:

 

 

With this set up, you will still be able to get 2-3 runs or so before you need to bank.

 

 

 

Adjust your set up around these, and see what works for you.

I'll try the cheap setup and see what happens. But could I replace the following items:

 

 

 

Bolts

 

Sharks

 

Cape

 

and God Book?

 

 

 

Cause I don't have a God Cape, Zammy Book(Sara is the one I chose) and would Monks work?

Yes you can replace the cape/book, as they are only to give you a better mage attack bonus, but it does not really matter as the barrows brothers are weak to the spell as it is.

 

You can use monks, and they are probably better as they are cheaper and still heal 16 so good choice.

 

The bolts can be changed also. I would suggest either mith bolts or higher, or mith arrows or higher, as you want to kill ahrim quickly so you do not take a lot of damage, so higher the metal the better.

your prayer will be drained anyway so theres no point of brining initiate, just wear your best meele armour

I've decide to go with Liam's cheap setup with my own modifications. I plan on going on my first trip Friday or Saturday as I will be training Slay like crazy afte I get my whip. If you want to come, pm me on the forums and I'll see what will happen.

A few notes, make the dragon dagger p++, it always helps. I personally prefer karil's xbow, so I don't have to worry about running out of bolts. Lastly, nezzy helm will helm more.
