spudrow
Heard that Jagex disabled the use of Recoils Rings working for Slayer Tasks. Just wanted to get this confirmed before I begin. And if so, why the hell did they do that?

And if so, why the hell did they do that? sorry to say, but probably cause of people like you. i'm not trying to sound arrogant saying it, but they definately weren't fond of 10-hpers getting to 50 slayer using recoils. Just because Jagex is being so 'anti-pure' lately doesn't mean it is necessarily right for them to keep destroying other's accomplishments. What's next, disabling lamps/books because it provides levels to skills that aren't trained? I can understand how Runescape is made to be combat-oriented and questing is the purpose of the game, but "the customer is always right" logic should fit here. What harm is it to have opposing goals? What harm is it to have opposing goals? yes, you are totally right, however jagex just likes being anti-pure for some reason, which is why i started getting my defense up some time ago.. did jagex HAVE to make dream mentor an 85cb quest? no. how about smoking kills? of course not, a level 65 could have done that. the only way i can see you training slayer now is if you get someone to cast vengence on you -.- hopefully they'll stop being so anti-pure in the coming months. 123_x_pac
They aren't being anti-pure. Its not fair for the people who have to work hard to get the levels they have while pures get to use easy ways to level. I'm glad ror's aren't usable for slayer. I dont think using Recoils is an easy way to train slayer. Each ring gives 40 exp (if i remember correctly), and you have to use food that adds up to at least 40 hp. If you think using recoils are easy, you can totally try it out for yourself.

Yes, because we all know Combat Skills are the hardest to achieve in the game
