July 8, 200818 yr Dear Tip.it community, The recent forum updates have deleted my previous avatar, and I have been trying to upload a new one. However, each time I submit a URL with a picture fitting thier size requirements, I am constantly getting a "This URL is not valid" message. How can this be? I insert a valid WWW URL, but the forums keep saying they do not exist. I cannot upload a picture from my computer locally. In otherwords, I cannot upload a picture at all; can someone help me with this? A lvl 115 warrior and still growing.
July 8, 200818 yr Try using a site to upload it like photobucket(www.imageshack.us). Hope this helps, BW
July 8, 200818 yr Make sure the end of the url ends in .JPG or .PNG or another one supported by tipit. If you go to the page where your avatar's hosted then right click and select 'view image location' you'll get the correct url.
