  1. You were right, it is granite and not sandstone, thank you sir.
  2. Dear Tip.it community, I have been trying to construct the head of the quest statue, but I have met nothing but trouble. I have been following the Tip.it quest guide dilligently without success. I have chosen the head for the statue (camel), and have two 5kg sandstone blocks in my inventory, but when I am using a chisel, all i get is two broken peices (no head). I have tried filling my inventory to prevent the breaking (that did not work), use larger peices (that did not work), or changing the head I wanted (that failed too!). At this point, I have reached a dead end. Has anyone else had this problem? Could someone give me advice on how to rectify this? Respectfully, afatbomba
  3. How do you take the gold pyramid from the top of the agility course? I have been around it hundreds of times, and I have never had the option to remove the gold pyramid.
  4. Thank you for all of the advice. At least I have one less thing to worry about.
  5. I have been killing thousands of earth warriors, skeletons, goblins, zombies, and giants without one single creature champion challenge. Is there any way I can increase the probability of receiving a champion's challenge? I have already talked to Larxus and started the minigame, the only difficulty is accquiring the challenge scrolls.
  6. During the Tourist Trap quest, you accquire a metal key to use on the cell door Anna is behind. Unfortunately for me, the key is not working on the cell door. Does anyone know why this could happen. I cannot get more keys from anyone. I'm bascially stuck with a key that should open the door which does not. Is there a way I should go about this?
  7. Bone burying (small bones) is by far the most reliable way to get a random event. I get a new random every twenty bones (give or take five).
  8. Not true. While it might be crowded on major worlds, it is usually almost deserted on other worlds (even during peak hours). That is why I train there over lessers or roaches.
  9. While it might be nice to defeat Elvarg and finish the hardest F2P quest, I believe patience is a virtue. I waited until I was at least combat lvl 60 before I took my first stab at killing him. Even at that level, I had to escape with teleports at least twice. I suggest you wait until you reach at least 75 combat. While you might be anxious for the combat XP and armor buying rewards from this quest, patience is still important. If you die multiple times while trying to kill him at a low level, you are wasting time, items, and GP. You can also wear dragondhide and/or rune armor even if you do not finish the quest, as long as you have the right combat level. You do not need Oziach's help to accquire the specified armors. With the GE, you could easily obtain them (most likely at a lower price too!).
  10. I don't get the joke #-o Salmonella is a different problem altogether. Microbes are much harder to negotiate with.
  11. I completely agree with Sumpta13. My family has been minimizing electicity use even before the so called "global warming crisis" for the sake of saving on utility bills. The issue with oil is more of the problem now, since uncontrolled price fixing and speculation have driven the prices of fuel to record highs. In the 1990s, it was not so much of an issue, when gasoline was $1.00 a gallon. Today, however, filling your tank can cost you close to $100.00 (thanks to speculation, politicians, and commodities traders.) The main reason why fuel economy is important for people today is money saving, not the environment. Only the wealthy morons (Al Gore and company) can brag about being "environmentally friendly". In summary, this whole "man-caused global warming" thing is a joke. The rich folk are saints while those lower than they are scum. It sounds like a social Darwinism scam to me.
  12. I almost always use an arrow type that can be quickly obtained. For example, you can easily collect large quantities of iron arrows from the minotaurs in the Stronghold of Security. That way, it is not too much of a hassle if people steal your arrows. Furthermore, most people are not likely to bother stealing iron arrows, which are pretty much worthless on the GE and in the shops.
  13. I would also suggest a weapon with a crush attack (such as a b axe) since the roach soldiers can be resistant to slash and stab attacks.
  14. My F2P training setup has been like this: 1. Full rune body including Stronhold of Security boots and Fist of Guthix rune gloves (plateleg or skirt doesn't matter) 2. Rune scimitar (fast XP training, and ankous have weak defense) 3. A fishing rod and it's corresponding bait (getting food from the Barbarian Village river) 4. Explorer's ring (reward from Lumbridge achievement diary) 5. Amulet of power. I have used this setup for a long time (and still am) and it has been a very efficient training package. I suggest you use it since it is affordable and easy to maintain.
  15. With RWTers and scammers getting desperate for free accounts, I've been getting hit on by several of them. Let me give you an example. Scammer: You've won the RS lottery for free membership! Just give me your pass and you will be processed immediately. :^o Me: Isn't this scam a little old? Scammer: This is no scam, I guarantee it. Me: Nice try noob (I report them) =D> Scammer: Oh well, better luck next time (He logs off) Another scammer hit me the same day Scammer: Your account has been frequently reported for macroing. I need your pass in order to check these reports for validity. Me: Where's your crown mister? Scammer: Huh? Me: I guess you need to do the tutorial island again (I report him) Scammer: Just give me your pass or else you are going to be banned Me: Too late scammer, I already reported you Scammer: That's it, you're banned! (he quickly logs off) Me (talking to myself): I bet it will be the other way around. While you can't help but pity them, its still funny when they try.
  16. Money and skills are connected. I make money based on my skills (fishing, NPC killing, smithing, etc) in order to buy supplies that will generate even more xp when used. Of course I do have some good f2p stuff (Full rune, amulets of power, etc) and lots of money, but I often burn it up on prayer, smithing, and firemaking.
  17. This is a true irony from the tree hugging evironmentalists. Most of them are liberals who have no respect for capitalism or companies whatsoever. They don't like recycling because it promotes the 'evils of capitalism.' The recycling business is one of the largest industries in the USA (only 3rd behind the steel industry.) Not only does it generate employment and give others access to cheaper goods, but recycling reduced our need for new resources (hint here). This includes the trees and plants needed for new paper products (napkins, paper towels, printer paper, cardboard, etc). This "evil industry" can save millions of acres of trees each year. But the "tree huggers" do not endorse it; how iroic.
  18. I would not be the least suprised if this were legally classified as "physical profiling" and placed in court by the ACLU or some other rights organization.
  19. Thanks everyone, Your advice worked, and I now have a minoutaur avatar.
  20. I will assume that Warrior45's last statement was an invitation of my list. Ready or not, here it comes. 1. Those who sponsor global warming issues are absolute hyprocrites - You will find that the most public proponents of global warming have expansive power guzzling homes, private planes (extremely inefficient vehicles), and large stables of vehicles that guzzle insurance money and fuel. The lesser ones such as weather forecasters and lawyers tend to drive around in Hummers (one of the most inefficient vehicles on the market) and tell the world what they want the world to know, not what needs to be known. Source: Personal observation of thier transporation methods, photos of their estates, and articles about the corresponding peoples. 2. Thier solutions are inherently flawed - Their first complaint is "We should stop relying on foreign oil." Good luck folks. You tree huggers refuse to let us drill on national lands (thanks to lobbying and bribes) such as Alaska and offshore areas which have definite oil reserves. Most natural gas is produced domestically. Thier "alternative energy" outlook is also flawed. "We need to invest in solar and wind energy," chant the environmentalists. Easier said than iplemented. Any company that invests in these areas has to pay extensive taxes on real estate. Solar and wind energy require vast amounts of land to achieve a worthwile energy return. The solar panes + equipment and windmills+turbines are also extremely maintenance intensive. Most of the poential profits in 'green' energy are spent on taxes, staff, and maintenance. Even worse, they are hihgly unreliable. You will get next to no energy from these methonds on a cloudy, windless day. It would be funny to see these environmentalists groping in the dark. Traditional (natural gas, oil, coal, and garbage fired) power plants require far less real estate, are easier to maintain, far more reliable, and generate more power than 'green' methods. The closest "green" contemporary to these would be a fission power plant; fuel rods can usually be recycled and used control rods are often put to use for other areas. "OH NO! WE CANNOT HAVE NUCLEAR WASTE IN THIS WORLD!" chant the environmentalists. While fusion power would only generate waste products of ozone and water, we would yet again hear "OH NO! WE CANNOT HAVE RADIOACTIVE ITEMS IN THIS WORLD!" from the evironmentalists. However, many physicst question the feasability and cost/benefit ratio of fusion power as well. Sources: Christopher Herbert, professor of physics Bloomberg Radio - Segment "On the Economy" French and American anti-nuclear publications. 3. Level of accessibillity - Most of the hybrid and electric vehicles on the market today are highly priced and cannot be easily purchased by the average person. Furthermore, battery technology has not advanced enough for a sufficient cost/benefit ratio. It is also a known fact among the technology community that once you buy something, it is bound to be obsolete within the next two years, so most people are highly reluctant to buy new cars until they are sure of the benefit they could receive. Source: Wired Magazine 5. Validity - The validity of global warming is higly speculative. By including the "global warming factor" in thier forecasts, meteorologist have been routinely wrong. In the last two weeks, meteoroligists have been forecasting thunderstorms for my area; rain showers have come by, but no kind of noise from the clouds whatsoever (unless you count the Independence Day fireworks). Whenever they said it would rain, it was almost always a clear, hot day. Whenever they said it would be sunny, the skies were cloudy and drenching people with water. In other words, the "global warming factor" has dramatically reduced their credibility. Source: The Weather Channel, New Jersey News 12 Weather, Google and Yahoo! weather coupled with personal first hand observation. Witnesses: Vincent Grossoti, David Pruiksma, ElaineMartinez, New Jersey Transit, and many others. 6. Efficiency - many proposed "global warming cures" would cause the inverse result. The most popular item, ethanol, is the most inefficient solution. The energy require to plant and harvest the corn, tranport it to the ethanol/diesel plants, produce the fulels, and ship it to fueling stations far outweighs the energy reduction of using these "green fuels." Even worse, there is little to no profitability in it, so few people will try and implement it. Hydrogen energy cells are also highly inefficient. Trasporting hydrogen gas would require energy guzzling cryogenic tanks (inefficient and un-economic) or higly compressed, explosive hydrogen gas (too dangerous for commercial use). One explosion caused by this would not only terrorize the populace, but release more heat than ten metric tons of greenhouse gasses could contain. Sources: Kenneth Christiansen, petrochemical specialist. Charles Schumaker, physicist Augustus Vanderboch, farmer for sixty years. In summary: The defficiencies in thier methods of solving the problem and their arguments for the issue are sketcy at best and fraudlent at worst. If anyone wants me to continue this list of arguments, I would be happy to do so.
  21. Global warming is a myth loaded with hypocrisy, half baked truths, and the overblown ignorance of left wing politicians. If anyone would appreciate a long list of my reasons, do not hesitate to ask.
  22. The only time when they annoy me is when they incessantly brag for being 'pures' or justify thier intrusion on my skilling by saying they deserve it as 'pures'.
  23. All right then, try and construct a musical composition of your own to rival Handel's Water Music Suite (in all keys!).
  24. Dear Tip.it community, The recent forum updates have deleted my previous avatar, and I have been trying to upload a new one. However, each time I submit a URL with a picture fitting thier size requirements, I am constantly getting a "This URL is not valid" message. How can this be? I insert a valid WWW URL, but the forums keep saying they do not exist. I cannot upload a picture from my computer locally. In otherwords, I cannot upload a picture at all; can someone help me with this?
  25. If there is one genre I absolutely cannot stand, it is the "minority genres" of R&B, Hip Hop, and Gangsta Rap (including thier relatives.) I have specifically outlined reasons. 1. They frequently idolize violent behavior and the use of degrading language. 2. The "music" they compose requires next to no talent to create, and follows the weak "if it's loud, then it's music" mindset. 3. None of thier compositions follow the rules of musical theory. 4. The noise lacks the quaility or depth of high level composers (Beethoven, Bach, etc) 5. It outlines the worst social philosophy in the world; "The only way to bring yourself up is by pulling others down." As far as I am concerned, any teacher who considers this junk music should be fired, no matter how many degrees they have.
