Foodfight13
Just a few more tips to add to the Vinesweeper section: -Sometimes it is better to mentally locate a few seeds without flagging them, then flag them all simultaneously. That way, the farmers won't keep clearing the patch as you uncover seeds and the numbers around them. This is best done with a partner who understands your strategy. Just stay on the lookout for rabbits. -For those farmers who really want to get the best exp out of their points, they should use them towards acorns if they're looking at tree seeds. While oak trees don't give a ton of exp, they have the best exp ratio per point. See the chart below: As you can tell, the ratio for oak trees is much higher than all other trees. I also did some of the other more popular farming seeds and figured out their XP per point ratios: You get 120 exp for picking all 3 limpwurt roots at once. I chose 5 as a number of herbs harvested and 10 for allotment products because I think those are average numbers from my own experience. Obviously you could have more or less, which may alter these numbers slightly, but not enough to make a big difference. The 5 and 10 mean that you picked 5 herbs or harvested 10 allotment products. Looking at this table it shows that really the best exp per point is in the three lowest level herbs, which sell for just 10 points each! Limpwurt roots also come up higher than other farming products. It is up to you to decide which of the 5 to buy with your points: acorns, guam seeds, marrentill seeds, tarromin seeds, or limpwurt root seeds. It may be beneficial to note that usually it is harder to get a higher quantity of herbs with the three lowest herb seeds, even with super compost. Also, these herbs usually don't sell at the highest price in the Runescape market nor provide the best xp. Also, you will need to grow many more herbs or oak trees to get the exp equal to their higher equivalents. While it will cost you less points, it will take more time to grow all the plants. Make sure you take into consider all the factors when spending your points. *** EDIT: I am having trouble with the images, if you copy the URL into your browser, you can see the images there: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b339/ ... hart-1.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b339/ ... mchainmail
You have to disable the bbcode in the post to get the images to display, I edited the post to do so. The one caveat with your method is how cheaply oaks can be purchased on the ge. (less than 1k a piece). Therefore, it is better to go with the best profit-point ratio, sell them and buy other seeds. Foodfight13
I'm not so sure if that's better. I looked at the the Market Prices for acorns and Willow seeds just a minute ago, and the acorn was 69 gp and the Willow seed 4011gp. That means, for the same price as one willow seed, you could buy 58 acorns and still have change left over(at market price). And while planting all those acorns is a heck of a lot slower, you will get over 28k exp from all those acorns, while only getting about 1.4k exp from the willow seed. -Runescape Addict --- Seven-time Writer for the Tip.It Times-"Yes I have tricks in my pocket, I have things up my sleeve. mchainmail
right, but you could spend the 2k points (or whatever it is) for a willow, and then sell it and buy 58 acorns which means a lot more farming exp.
Foodfight13
Okay, I see your point. I think the first tip is still valid though, and maybe you can somehow use some of the other stuff I mentioned, plus what you pointed out if you think the guide could use it. Use what you can and want to use. -Runescape Addict --- Seven-time Writer for the Tip.It Times-"Yes I have tricks in my pocket, I have things up my sleeve. But I am the opposite of a stage magician.
