Question of weapon for slaying waterfiends

I have recently got the task of waterfiends, i have never killed them before so right now i am reading some guides on them. It seems like that all the guides confirm they are weak against crush attacks. So i am wondering if using obby mace with zerker necklace is a good weapon?

If you have a Saradomin Sword or a Zamorak Spear, use one of them. I wouldn't use obby mace.

 

 

 

And try and get a high strength bonus too.
