Alright, so basically I found this movie and I want to try and pull the audio from it and get rid of the video. I've already got the movie downloaded and in a workable format (AVI, if it matters). Is there a way in Windows Movie Maker to remove the video and have just the audio (such that I could save it as a .wav or mp3?) or can anyone suggest a program that could record the audio without any interference that would result from recording with an external microphone?

Or alternatively, http://mediaconverter.org/ is entirely online, just so long as the video isn't huge, you can tell it to output in mp3 format, and you'll just get the sound.

Yah, just select mp3 from the dropdown on the second little screen thing.
