really like the way the signature looks, wouldn't change a thing excluding the text.

 

Just an idea but you could put the text on the wrist and have it as if protruding from the skin, though personally I would choose a different phrase if going in that direction, the phrase brace yourself doesn't really do anything for me

I also quite like it, but I don't think the font you used fits well at all. I'd try either a simple or a more... death-ish font.
