Find an entrance which you can use, being harassed by various abyssal monsters. Then, once you're in the inner ring, find the portal you wish to use (the cosmic portal is on the western end). Just wear some light armor, or, if your defense is really quite low, something more along the lines of rune. Eat at the bank, when you need to.
