D-Link router cannot be accessed by wireless...

Featured Replies

I have just brought this router today, and it's blazing fast. But theres just one problem... the wireless won't work... When i connect it with the cable directly to my computer, it works perfectly, but when i tried to connect it by wireless on my other computers, it won't connect. On my vista computer it says the signal is too low ( but the signal bar reads 95%), on my Xp laptop, it doesn't say anything...it just stuck at " waiting for network...." on the connecting screen. I have turned the wireless on for sure, and i really dunno what i have missed.... Any advise pls?

My computer does that. All I do is disconnect (via the view wireless connections window, double click the wireless icon, then click "view wireless networks) or connect to my neighbor's router (I have the password for it, in case I need to use it for school or something), then reconnect to mine. Usually works.

Maybe you could try that? Couldn't hurt. OR it could be a configuration problem. I found a small guide here that may be of some assistance.

Hmm... I wonder how one goes about throwing someone out a window in a mystic fashion :-k

The mental image for that is freaking awesome.
