I was looking at the rapier one can get from doing cabin fever. Can one weild It without doing the quest and What are the requirements to do so? Because The slash bonus is more than the dds and it does not seem to require 60 attack as far as I see.

40 requirement, and the quest Cabin fever of course because thats the only way to access the island.

 

 

 

EDIT: I suggest getting this. Better than the DD, the rapier, and the rune scimitar (in stats). It requires no quests, and it buys for the same price as a rune scimitar.

But it's as slow as a long sword in my experience. The great stab bonus makes it up on guards though.
