[DONE] KBD hunting guide.

Recommended Posts

I was looking at the KBD slaying guide, and noticed how un-detailed it was for the melee section (Inv for low/high lvled people, etc..). If you guys want, I could fix it by rewriting that part. Let me know.

K I think this is good, if anyone sees anything wrong, please say so and I'll fix it.

Melee: As you are using melee, using the best weapon you have (ex: Abyssal whip) is advised. A 2-handed weapon (Godsword) is NOT recommended, as this will lead to a most certain death. You can also use a Dragon Scimitar if you prefer training Strength. Basically, anything with a fast slashing attack is good. If you have a Dragon dagger(p++), this would be useful for its special attack. Using a Dragon dagger(p++) is good, as the poison will add up and lead to a faster kill. The Dragon mace is also useful for its Special Attack. The dragon longsword and dragon scimitar are good choices due to their accuracy.

Always bring an Anti-dragon shield. Or, if you have one, you can bring a powerful Dragonfire shield.

The recommended Inventory and equipment are as follows:

Recommended equipment:

  • [*:23eo3s3w]Helmet:
Helm of Neitiznot > Proselyte sallet > Berserker helm

[*:23eo3s3w]Amulet: Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory

[*:23eo3s3w]Body: Karil's Top > Black d'hide body

[*:23eo3s3w]Legs: Karil's Skirt > Black d'hide chaps

[*:23eo3s3w]Weapon: Abyssal Whip > Dragon Scimitar > Dragon Longsword

[*:23eo3s3w]Shield: Dragonfire Shield > Anti-dragon shield

[*:23eo3s3w]Cape: Fire Cape > Skill cape (t) > Skill cape

[*:23eo3s3w]Boots: Dragon Boots > Rune boots

[*:23eo3s3w]Gloves: Barrows > Dragon > Rune

[*:23eo3s3w]Ring: Ring of Wealth > Ring of Life

Recommended Inventory:

  • [*:23eo3s3w]1 Super Attack (4)

    [*:23eo3s3w]1 Super Strength (4)

    [*:23eo3s3w]2 Antifire potion(4)

    [*:23eo3s3w]2 Super antipoison(4)

    [*:23eo3s3w]3 Prayer potion (4)

    [*:23eo3s3w]Dragon dagger(p++)

    [*:23eo3s3w]Axe

    [*:23eo3s3w]Sharks

    [*:23eo3s3w]House Teletab

Notes:

When using this method, you should use Protect from Melee. Protect from Magic/Range does not work.

Always make sure you're protected from the fire-breath and poison, as the fire breath (up to 5 damage w/ shield on) and the poison will add up.

If you happen to have Black Dragons as a Slayer task, wear a Black mask/Slayer helm instead of Helm of Neitiznot, as this will make killing the KBD much faster.

If you want, you can bring a Bunyip/Unicorn Stallion/Spirit Terrorbird for healing/BoB. If you do, remember to re-arrange your inventory to accommodate the pouches & scrolls.

A House teletab is recommended over Ectophial because if you use teletab, you'll be teleported to your house, which is a safe place to die (from poison, for example) as you'll be teleported outside your house without losing any items.

The axe is there if you use the Canoe to get to the Wild. If you use another means of getting to the KBD, replace the axe with whatever you need.

Always remember, when killing the KBD with a group of 2 or more, to always encircle the KBD, making sure he's in the middle of everyone.

If you want, when in a group of 4 or more, you can actually not use Protect from Melee, but use one or more of the Stat boosting prayers, such as Incredible Reflexes or Piety. However, please note, that if you want to do this, it is recommended to have 90+ Def, as it will lower the amount of damage the KBD inflicts on you if he hits you.
