A Good Solution to Keep Rares from Over-inflating

Making rares not rare as in shop price worth?

 

 

 

That would feal like I would be hacked and lose all my stuff, since most of my money is spend on rare's as an investment. I wonder how many RuneScapers are going to quite then, imagine having a 105m bank account and 100m of it beeing rares. That's a 100m loss, when it would happen to me, I would trow away the other 5m and stop playing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rare's can't keep on rising, there has to be a limit, but where it is? noone knows. Price will automaticly drop again when people simply can't afford it anymore.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well, as long as whips are still vaulable, rares will continue to rise. And rise. And rise. But if Jagex made a rares shop, I would be very, very angry. I have 250m in rares, and I would go bankrupt overnight..

I wouldnt dub it severe I think it would be severe if it prevented normal play of the game but its not causing server crashes or anything like that so it isnt that important if some people manipulate prices of rares to increase demand the game is supposed to be realistic and people do things like this in the real world an people fall for them just as people look as though they arent as powerful as they are because they spent a few million dollars building a nice house and then all these clowns move in next door with fake mansions that cost 50 grand to build

the only true way to drop the price of rares is to make them not rare, what you are saying will increase the ammount of these items, making them not rare, also jagex will never do this because they were special holoday items, just like the rubber chicken, which in about a year or so will get to that ammount, because the ammount of people with them, compaired to new people that dont have them will have raised dramaticaly in one year, that is why the rares that you are talking about cost so much, its cuz there were say 1,000 people that got them (im not saying that was the number, i know it was more) but now there are 1,000,000,000,000,000 people that wernt there when they were released, so the market for them went up, also, shouldnt it be up to the RS veteren that got it in the first place to have the ability to set the price that he wants for an item that he/she has held for over a year? and if they sell it, then the merchant that bought it has the right to sell it for his desired price, get over it, the price of rares wont go down, and if jagex intervines, then i hope that many members like me quit because they will be taking away a great market for the people that were there with them so long ago, i believe that it is a good thing that there is a set ammount of the rares, that way they eventually get washed out into nothingness, and those that have them will be proud, and wont sell 8)

does that even matter? enough people see that there is a problem and i'm sure some of us, like i, do have rares. i don't mind losing money, i'd rather see peoplle not being taken advantage of. and its not jus rares that are affected, the whole market suffers because of the rare issue. it's only a game after all, or has anyone lost track of this?

prices in phats, santas, and masks all rose waaay too quickly. it's only a matter of time before they drop again...in fact, santas and masks are already beginning to drop. Pretty soon, party hats will too. Just give it time. Everything seems to have a way of balancing itself out.

I dont think theres much of a problem however, runescape could if they absolutely NEEDED to eliminate the Phats price, make a new system like a rs3 and allow players to transfer their skills but not items. The exitement about a new system would bring down the anger of people losing their hat monopolies but it would take some time to develop of course.
