High Alc and bow prices

Featured Replies

I quit about a year ago and when I left people bought logs and strings and fletched them to sell the bows for a higher price. I checked the GE today and it was quite the opposite. Yew logs going for 423, strings for 204, and bows for 595. So my question is how this possible? Is there suddenly another use for logs and strings besides making bows. Also is High Alc still the best way to train mage? Thanks for the help.

There are better ways to train mage. Lots of options that are either faster or cheaper exist. Also, the unstrung yew longbow is only 400 gp still, so all you have to do is eschew the cutting of the log and skip to the stringing.

It is still possible to gain profit while training fletching if you plant herbs while doing so.
