What level is it best to fish sharks.

 

 

 

I keep getting different answers. I'm 84 at the moment, I was thinking about going to 99 via Sharks when I hit 92 or so?

Theres not too much difference between 92 and 94 I just decided to do monkfish instead to speed up the exp I got and when I went back to sharks at 94 I guess I noticed more of a difference since i fished more but from 84 youll definitely notice the rate at which you catch them speed up at either 92 or 94.

If you mean before 99 when to switch to sharks for training, it's never tbh. Monkfish are way more efficient. The experience is more than twice as fast and the cash is nearly identical. You'd make more money if you caught monkfish to 99 fishing and used the time you saved to, I dunno, go kill green dragons or some random moneymaker like that.

 

 

 

If you want to fish sharks because you only want money and don't care about fishing xp, then go train a different skill, because fishing is junky profit anyway. I don't even get more than 150 sharks an hour on average at 99. Anybody can do better than that by picking stuff up off the ground, so if you aren't worried about experience, go do that.

 

 

 

And if you just want to fish sharks because you like the slow pace or something (as I sometimes do), you don't need to wait, just fish em now. There is no level where they're fast anyway.

 

 

 

As for your original question, the only specific level I can give you besides 99 is 96. At 96 you can catch sharks with your hands, which gives experience in strength and disables two random events. It also looks cooler. So don't fish them before then unless you really want to.

 

 

 

Oh, and the best places to catch sharks are the Fishing Guild and Burgh de Rott, the latter of which is my personal favorite because there are no cage/harpoon spots to get in the way. Of course, the Guild has its merits: more populated, closer summoning obelisk, and a lv2 man you can murder for herbs on your way. Oh, and Jatizso works too.
