August 23, 200817 yr Been thinking about this. Usually, it's k top+obby shield+xbow/whip, but xbow has a rather crap range, which makes you longrange or possibly get in Supreme's range. Crystal bow has a much longer range, and you can shoot Prime from a much safer place. But you sacrifice the obby shield, which mans spinos will rip you even faster, which they do even with one. So, forget karils top and use Torags plate....but when you go at Supreme, you will have worse magic def, and it allows spinos to mage more hits on you. Then again, with a c bow, you can take a defender into a shield slot-which makes killing Supreme safer and faster. So....take karils top and possibly bottom into invy for meleeing sup? Or hope the spinos mostly splash? Also, this would allow a better cape than accumulator-Firecape or skillcape?
August 23, 200817 yr Your only real reason for switching it up is the range of an x bow, which really is not an issue :P If prime is too far all you have to do is run to the east wall and prime will move in range; or even easier, be standing in prime's range when he spawns so he never moves. Crystal bow is terrible compared to x bow, it's a waste of space to bring armour in inventory, and a shield is nice. Although, a skillcape/firecape does make a pretty big difference, but not worth switching stuff for, unless you switch to karils bow (can't pick up racks anyway, and at least as good as x bow)
August 24, 200817 yr Author Well, Supreme went down faster with a defender, and Prime was easier to get. Fruit Bat was also a lot better than bunyip, which pretty much sucks when solo hybriding. I always try to stand in Prime's range AND do the trick if I can't reach him-but I had a case when I stood in a "safe place", a good deal into the green zone-and sup still went on me somehow. Guess it's his buggy AI, since it he went there a lot of times that kill and never atked me. Spinos still hurt....maybe the usual setup with a torags plate instead of karils top? Spinos usually splash loads even on full melee, and supreme goes down fast anyways. With torags plate+obby shield, my defence would be up to 373, but only 88 range bonus. However, if I would use a brassy, since the 50 range def wouldn't matter that much with a shield, would give me 21 prayer and 96 range bonus. I'll try the brassard+xbow/shield way tomorrow, if I will see any differences.
August 24, 200817 yr Well, I don't use a shield since I bring a godsword, but since I have sgs and unicorn defence is hardly an issue to me, neither is killing supreme in time :P So whatever works for you.

What he said except sub the Pony for a Titan(well bunyip for you, do you really have time to be dealing with those fruits?), and honestly the only difference is that you should use piety if you're not getting kills fast enough...you're still taking the same(well slightly more I guess since the spins are only focusing on you) damage as you would be normally... August 24, 200817 yr Author I don't even plan to get summoning even higher or buying/making the money for a SGS, and the fruits are easy to deal with. When you spec, you don't stop shooting, so I spawn a bunch of papayas easily when killing Prime=p Well....it's not a little more damage, it's 2x compared to two hybs. Near maxed melee btw, so Supreme is mostly down to luck, and I need piety. Killing him time is not really an issue, since the spawn time is like 1:10-1:20.
