Difficulty level: Easy

 

Start location: Talk to King Roald in Varrock Castle

 

Required:

 

Quests: Priest In Peril

 

Skills: 43 Firemaking

 

Items: Tinderbox, 45 of any logs

 

Suggested: Varrock Teleports

 

 

 

1: Starting Out

 

Begin By Speaking to king Roald and agree to test the beacon network. He will ask you to speak to Blaze Sharpeye (located just south of the temple on the River Salve.) Bring 20 logs and speak with Blaze Sharpeye. Once the beacon is lit, speak to Blaze and He will tell you to Light the second beacon, just west of the Odd Old Man (Rag And Bone Man Quest)

 

 

 

2: Beacon 2

 

Head back to the bank and get out 25 logs this time, return to the second beacon located west of the Odd Old Man add 20 logs to the beacon and light it. Now return to Blaze Sharpeye.

 

3: Maintaining the beacon

 

Upon returning to Blaze Sharpeye you will notice the fire has begun to die out talk to Blaze and he will explain that to maintain the beacons you must add 5 logs. Do this and Speak to Blaze. He will tell you that to report back to King Roald. Speak to King Roald to complete the quest.

 

 

 

Reward:

 

20000 Coins

 

5,500 Firemaking XP

 

 

 

Tips, tricks & notes:

 

To shorten walking time, you can use a summoning familiar to carry the extra logs that are required for the second beacon

 

King Roald will further reward you for lighting 6, 10 and all 14 beacons simultaneously.

EDIT: there's a new tab under the firemaking skill ingame "Beacons" and the most northern beacon can only lighted by people with 92 firemaking!
