Ubuntu Live CD Help (problem solved)

This morning I downloaded an Ubuntu .iso file (ver 8.4) from the Ubuntu site, and after burning it to a CD and booting the computer from a CD I have come across a problem, it won't let me run Ubuntu, install, update drivers or check to make sure the CD is fine. Basically all I can do is press the F* buttons and select boot from hard drive (aka run Vista)

is there a way to fix this without having to re-download the whole file again

haha nice picture :D

when my computer starts I press F12 and select boot from CD/DVD drive and I come up with the Ubuntu logo and 5 options Try, Install, Check, Update Drivers and Boot from hard drive (boot Windows Vista) but nothing happens unless I slect boot from hard drive or pressing F1-F6 which either has options that don't help, or ones I don't know anything about
