    Today...

So tip.it is kinda... quiet nowadays I see. To be fair I think the last time I was really active was probably 10 years ago. How is everyone doing with the quarantine? For whatever reason my brain takes bad situations and wants me to be my best self so I've been working out more than ever, have picked up piano etc. Like the more I feel like external things are out of my control the more I want to control internal things. I'm lucky enough to have an "essential" job I love that's pretty safe, and I'm an introverted guy and don't need a heap of social interaction relative to a lot of people so I'm fairing relatively well.

I just had to watch someone close their eyes for the last time, and then gasp for air for another 3 days for the second time this year. The laws around euthanasia are so [bleep]ing inhumane.

Today is similar to yesterday - kinda sitting around in limbo waiting for my girlfriend's godmother to die. She was last cognitive the day before yesterday and all I can say is everyone needs to have the "pull the plug" chat before its too late to make these things less horrible for loved ones.

'tis good. I'm working as an electrician while still plugging away at my engineering degree. Also lifting and throwing people in my spare time as shown. Not sure if I actually want to be an engineer or I'm wasting 35 grand but I am enjoying the study

    1. Corporations are often multinational which makes their motivations not in line with people in that country. A person can lobby/vote as an American/Australian etc in their own country but a corporation that operates in other countries has a conflict of interest straight up. 2. A corporation owes their shareholders profits and everybody else nothing. They lobby for their own interests and cannot have political beliefs because they represent purely the interests of the company. A person can support legislation that benefits other people. 3. Corporations = people contributes to money = free speech 4. Corporations have legal and monetary benefits that people don't.

Cool. So an unnamed multi national construction company have switched MORE stuff on without the Protection being set and tested and I need to work around them to get shit turned off and tested individually instead of them doing the sane thing and turning it the [bleep] off because their only form of protection is the cable hopefully burning to open the circuit. And now unnamed multi national oil and gas company are questioning the protection settings that were given to us in the ones that have been set and it may not trip off in the event of a fault anyway.

There's always a catch, I work fly in fly out 14 days on 7 off. Whether I'm being productive, dealing with bureaucracy or sitting on my ass I get paid so I'm not too fussed. I'm going to do 12 hour days whether they keep me busy or not, I'm not living away from home to work 8 hour days.

Today the emergency response team is available but I still can't work because the internet is down, therefore we can't access the pre start meeting notes that are emailed and we can't work without a pre start.

All they do is drive around and turn off over gas alarms that keep going off despite there not being any gas leaks. If an actual incident happened they would basically announce over the radio to stop work and clear the area, call someone qualified to sort it out and then go back to facebook. Union sites have been designed to be super bureaucratic so nobody works very hard even if they wanted to. Honestly, 75% of my time is spent navigating the bureaucratic mess, waiting for permits, figuring out how to get permission to work or just sitting on my ass because I'm waiting for someone to get their shit together. Not exaggeration. We've taken a year and a half to do what half the manpower could do in 3 months according to a few people that have done similar work on other projects. Not that I'm bothered since I get paid by the hour, it just gets funny sometimes. One time I got a permit to work, and then didn't sign on/off because I got pulled away to do something else. The permit office had a meltdown. No idea on what to do or how to handle it because there was no procedure for either signing on and off on the spot or just throwing it out. They were still arguing when i left

I must be out of the loop. Today I'm not allowed to work because the emergency response team is unavailable. Union sites are comical.

Back home tonight after working 2 weeks straight. I always feel fine right up until the last day and then I'm so exhausted I can barely think straight when I get back to brissie. It's like my body runs over the finish line and collapses.
  14. At least you've learned from it. Being afraid to make a move because you might get rejected is needy behavior. I had something similar with my ex but it was 4 years instead of 3 months. Things sucked for a couple months, especially since I lost my job at the same time but I'm glad I dated her. I learned a lot and had a great time while it lasted.
  15. You're the man, take the lead. Encourage her to express herself, try different things and calibrate with her reactions. If you're awkward then she will feel awkward. If you're comfortable she will be too. No means no, but otherwise do what you want to her. Also keep in mind that with women, it's all about creating the right vibe and environment. It's more mental than physical. A few women have asked me how do I seem to know exactly what they want and even knowing speed and pressure and finding "special spots." The truth is I'm just dominant and whatever I do seems like a good idea to them. (Hopefully that makes sense) sex god method isn't too bad of a skim through. Lots of stuff in there I think is off target or bullshit so take it with a grain of salt but the gist is good. Also tease her, do it more than you think is appropriate. My girlfriend told me that a few guys shes been with said they liked to tease but didn't end up doing it much but that I certainly did. Sometimes she swears at me and hits me because I'm not giving her what she wants but thanks me afterwards.

Probably over qualified. You need to be able to spend half a day doing function and logic tests on a high voltage protection relay, and then not tell anyone about it so it gets done again, but also write the report wrong and let the client find the errors so you need to spend half a day fixing it. I'm torn between wanting to quit because it's a bit embarrassing working with this mob, and wanting to hang on because I need the experience and 2:1 fifo rosters aren't common. I'm still a huge newbie at this work and I should probably take what I can get for now.
  17. That certainly does play a part, which is why I try to show that I'm not judgemental. The best part is that men contribute to the slut stigma and [rooster] block themselves with it.

You got an electrical license and an associate degree in electrical engineering? I love the work but it's quite niche. What I do is only required by electrical utilities and on sites such as gas plants being built. Otherwise I have to work as an electrician or become an engineer.

My coworkers are [bleep]ing incompetent. You'd think guys getting paid 800 bucks a day would have some basic teamwork and communication skills. I've lost track of the amount of time I've wasted because of redoing work, fixing up other people's [bleep] ups or lack of communication.
  20. Not sure, if i get questions I'll try and answer them. Amateur. Pull her elbow and lick her hair.
  21. I just love sex. I like having it, I like talking about it, and I'm 100% comfortable with it. Girls want sex just as much as guys, but with men typically being dominant and women being typically submissive you need to run the show. I've lost track of the fun I could have had by being more assertive. Women like sex. If they don't have it with you they will have it with someone else. If they aren't, they are probably secretly wishing someone had the balls to make a move. (It just occurred to me that some people reading this may be in high school, people in general are less comfortable with sex then and I'm referring to over 18s) I think with this attitude, if you're congruent with it, women pick up on it and want to hook up because it doesn't seem to be a common thing. They don't want to be treated like a delicate innocent flower. They want someone to push them up against a wall and breathe in their ear how much they want them. (Insert 'I'm speaking generally, context and calibration is important and no means no' disclaimer) Casual sex is not a big deal. It's fun, people have it and it's a great way to break the ice. That's my mantra in a nutshell. Kino is important. It can be (not always) weird to go from not touching each other to trying to stick your tongue down her throat. Pick hobbies that involve touching women if it's something you need to work on being comfortable with. Dancing is a good one. My personal favorite is acro yoga and acro balance. It's fun, looks cool, not many people know about it and it is therefore interesting, and all you need is a flat surface and 2 or more willing participants. (Teehee)
  22. This was pretty much the case. I just had a break up and wanted to meet people and do things to get out of my head. Sex was a bonus, and it did help with the break up.
  23. I feel slightly less like a douche bag saying this because it's anonymous so 6 women in 2 months before I met one that made me lost interest in others. Tinder has that reputation but it's not really the case. You can get laid easily on it but half the profiles say they aren't looking to hook up. It's just an easy way you meet/filter a lot of people.
