  1. Get a barbell and do starting strength.
  2. For future reference, don't outright ask a girl to be your girlfriend. It immediately kills the romance and sexual tension. It won't even work unless she has basically already decided she wants to be, which means you can just play it out anyway. Just keep escalating physically, emotionally and see her more often. Gradually point your relationship in the direction you want with a strong frame (whether you want a girlfriend or a fling) and she will bring it up when she's ready. If you bring it up and she's on the fence you may freak her out.

Interesting take, however yours is a philosophical issue which is somewhat apples and oranges when it's about legal terms. If someone is financially forced into a bad paying job they hate, using your logic couldn't you call it slave labour? I'm not saying either case is right, but with such a complex society you get a lot of grey area. That's fine, but there is more dignity in working a job than selling yourself for sex. Wouldn't it depend on the person? When I worked at a checkout it sucked the life out of me and I hated every minute of it. I would cringe when people I knew came into the store. Would you have sex with 1 slightly overweight 50 year old woman for $50/hr? Probably not. What about $1000? $100000? For that much I wouldn't consider it undignified, I'd gladly do it and brag to my friends about it. Everyone has their price, prostitutes have found theirs. Same case with labouring. It's a shit job and nobody wants to do it if they can avoid it. What about labouring in an Australian mine, 1000km from anything in 50degree c heat doing 12 hr days? [bleep] no. Oh wait, they pay 6-7k/week + expenses. Now everyone wants to leave their lame office job they studied so hard for to do it. Then you have women in the sex industry who really enjoy what they do. It's not even about the money. I've met a few and they were just regular women who loved their job.
  4. Starting strength is better than stronglifts, but starting with 5x5 isn't a bad idea to start with rather than 3x5 for beginners. I've been considering making a big weightlifting post lately because of all the bro science I see in this forum.

Australia has regulated prostitution, and we are one of the most expensive countries in the world to do business in and we don't have big issues with illegal prostitution afaik.

This basically. My girlfriend is in her 4 year next semester and doesn't do much dedicated chemistry. Chem eng grads generally go into process engineering and heat transfer. It's not as hard to grasp as electrical, aero etc but has a massive workload compared to the others. Similar with mech. If you want to be an engineer but lack the motivation/time/whatever for real engineering you could always just do civil.

I have an apprenticeship with a gov owned electricity entity who owns the supply network. I get rotated through all the different departments which keeps things interesting. Overhead, underground, substations, rapid response etc... I get called out to emergency jobs regularly which also keeps things fresh. They are paying me to study electrical engineering part time in a bit over a year. Tradesmen get paid like engineers in aus and it's a good job so I'm set anyway, I'm just doing the study out of interest, and in case I get sick of the tools. I'm not quite sure where I will go. Rapid response seems good, but so does doing transmission work off of helicopters. I guess I will probably end up in engineering when I get older in any case.

After being teased by the dark clouds for about a month, it's finally raining so I get double time. I turn 21 in less than a week. The big payrise will be good, but it's going so fast. Feels like I was 18 not long ago. I'm basically going to dread every birthday after this one so might as well make the most of it.

[bleep] [bleep] [bleep] I can't stand the bros at my gym. I asked a guy to spot my last bench press set, and told him not to touch the bar unless I start dropping it. I did this because people seem to think spotting a bench is a good chance to work their deltoids for some reason beyond me. How are you meant to know what you lifted if somebody is helping? Either make the rep or fail it. He pulls up the bar as soon as I start struggling anyway, does it unevenly, [bleep]s my elbow and it now looks like I will have to take it easy for a week or 2. If they insist on doing nothing but curls, crunches and deadlifts with a bent back that's fine. But messing with my training with stupidity isn't cool.
  12. Find out what she told her friends and family, she may have been embarrassed about it and twisted the story. If what you say is true it wasn't rape and you shouldn't worry.

Switchboard blew up in my face, not hurt just embarrassed and a bit shaken up. :/
  14. He plays runescape 10 hours a day, somehow has the time to play football on a national level, goes out a few times a week and earns over 500k a year? Am I the only person thinking he is a 15 year old making up a story? He respects someone for their runescape account, and thinks a 6 pack is a big deal ffs..

Raining a bit up here too with an expected storm, I'm on standby from today too so I might get called in if shit goes down. The tradesman I'm with is getting a haircut so I'm just chilling in the truck getting paid to check out women. In this department I think I may actually do that more than work because we drive around the city a fair bit as the jobs don't take long. Also since when does shit not get censored?
  16. Quite a lot of highschool girls go through the 'i think I'm a lesbian' stage. I hope it helps.

I started getting back into it, I still haven't played many heroes because I keep picking nh and ws, and most of the other couple I tried are either above my skill (dev) or not fun to play. (acc, pr)
  18. Been hitting a few milestones right near each other. Recently I did 3x5 50kg military press, 3x5 100kg squat and my next session with bench press I will be going for 5x5 80kg.
  19. There is no rule about waiting x time. He may be on the rebound for a week or a year depending on the situation. It may not even matter, I started seeing my girlfriend on the rebound and we have been together over a year. All you can do is ask him, and hope that he is both honest with you, and also himself.
  20. I'd like to start the thread off with: [bleep] 4wds and fat soccer mums who need to pick a smaller car if they're so hard to drive.
  21. I'm a bit late but for future reference, if you go to school with the girl you can afford to take your time with her. Also dinner is a bad first date imo, especially for a high schooler. Next time, begin light flirting and touching at school, give her attention then take it away yada yada, but then invite her to a group thing you're doing anyway like a party. That way she is much more likely to say yes because there's no pressure for romance, and no pressure if she changes her mind at the last minute. (a maybe will be a no by default to minimise awkwardness, so make it as relaxed as possible) If you and her end up alone and things go well, then you can start doing things together which aren't cliche 'dates'. Play to your strengths, if you have a good body go to the beach, if you can iceskate then do that.

I get the same thing if we're just sitting/standing around talking, it's really draining. If I'm playing pool or something I'm ok though.

I met a girl who said that (all of it + they had to be older guys) when she met me, but later went back on it and wanted a casual thing with me. It never ended up happening though, because who wants to be around someone like that? :/ Anyway, I'm saying that just because she says it doesn't mean it's true. Attraction isn't a logical choice women make.

Today I got up at 4:30 for some sweet overtime, finished work at 10, booked till 12, satisfied my woman, went to the gym hitting some PBs, and now I'm going to play some oblivion.

Also remember that in Australia the cost of living is high and the average wage is like 75k. Median is about 55 i think.
