Okay, now that both of these swords have dropped down into my cash price range, I am thinking whether or not to buy one of them. I will still have between 15-18m worth of items left if i buy one, so it is not as if I am spending everything I have on one.

 

 

 

If I was to buy one, which would be better for me. I mainly do slayer, so the sgs would be ideal for this. Also, I do not monster hunt on a regular basis. I occasionally go dk's, and only once to bandos gw, so I am not an avid monster hunter. I do tho, go to barrows regually, so both godswords could help there.

 

 

 

Finally, if I was to buy one, would I actually be able to resell it easily if I had no furthur use for it, or if I didn't like that certain one? I don't particually want to buy a sword taking about 80% of my wealth, just to find out I can't sell the thing and i'm stuck with it.

 

 

 

Anyway, I need tip its guidence on this one, whether to buy the sgs, ags or none at all!

I would go for sgs. It is helpful for dks,slayer and when i lent it it was brilliant at barrows, because of the specials.

as said in previous posts....if you want to show off buy an AGS...if you want a GS for performance get the SGS. If you are then looking at price...I say buy neither of them since there is no guarantee on whatever you buy that you will gain any profit if you want to re-sell. I always look at performance before price issue.....normally with performance you get cash.....with buying and selling you tend to loose money.

I agree maybe with you for pvp (maybe..since have many doubts about on what AGS might be good for) but for boss hunting you really need to be very lucky to get high hits with the special and SGS/BGS are much more better for bosses than AGS.

ehh this is a topic a lot of ppl tend to disagree with me on. I know the gs have high hits I know the ags special is great for w6 bandos/bh I know the sara gs is amazing for slayer/team gws the problem that I have with sgs is that the price is quit high for something that can heal you less often then guthans. now I can't use guthans because I'm a barrows pure and guthans only trains defence. so really If i got a gs.. which I never will it would be a sgs for sure. now with the cash you're about to spend I'd recomend a dfs/whip. you get great defence.. much better then with a 2 handed wep such as a gs. not to mention it's soo much cheaper and in various tests godswords have reported much slower damage per minute then a whip. whips are still the dominant weopans and I'm glad it stayed that way.

The SGS is a spec weapon, in all honesty it's a 75m(or whatever I don't pay attention to prices after I buy soemthing) upgrade from a DDS. You lso seem to have completely disregarded the prayer restore, which is definately the biggest boost at least for me since I'll soon have a few of those magic pony things and not have to worry about hitpoints, even bunys take care of damage in most situations.
