You could get the key by killing a certain npc in the bandit camp. Riddle: You'll need to look for a town with a central fountain. Look for a locked chest in the town's chapel. Answer: Chest in Varrock chapel. When you get to the chest, you will see that it's locked, and there will be a message that says "Property of the Clocktower Monastery".
