I am getting sick and tired of the lack of quality of Microsoft products now. I got Visual studio 2008 a few months ago and ever since, it takes 5 minutes to do anything in there. I can make a 5 course meal in the time it takes to open up a solution.

1.5 gigs of Ram (2 more gigs of VM)

 

2.4 gigahertz processer (dual core)

 

150 gig hard drive

 

windows XP SP3

 

 

 

My hard drive is 95% empty and I keep my system usage under 10%.

 

 

 

What is the problem with the damn software?

Do you mean that the program itself is running extremely slow when you try to do anything, or as in it is a pain to do anything on it and that takes forever? If it is the first, you have a fairly decent computer, so I seriously doubt that is the problem, especially with the shape you say you keep it in. Maybe try contacting microsoft and seeing if they recommend anything, or possibly try a reinstall if you haven't already.

100% usage and 98000+ K mem usage (according to task manager). It loads faster at the schools computers and they are also POS's
