Im working on a Tanker atm but I'm wondering whats the fastest way to level its Defence level? Using Mage or Range (with defence exp option)? Or using an iron scimi with the highest armor avaliable?

 

 

 

Atm I have full mith on with an iron scimi, but it seems a bit slow to me.

 

 

 

The only problem I have with raising my range/mage is that it increases my combat level which i dont want, but i will if i must.

 

 

 

My stats are:

 

 

 

17 Hitpoints

 

23 Defence

 

10 Prayer

 

1 range/mage

Im thinking mage might be faster then range because if you train def with range your bow is slower meaning slower exp per hour. But then again most people power lvl mage without combat.

I was going to train mage anyways since I need to be able to tele to places :? Lol.

umm with range i think you get 2xp/hit

 

 

 

mage is what ever you hit. if you hit a 5 then you get a 5 def xp

You can get a certain attack and strength level without gaining any combat levels if your range or mage is high enough, check the combat calc if you want to look into that but i think mage is faster def exp.

Okay sweet, I'll try to figure that out with the calc.

A perfect tanker would have a total attack + strength level lower than 149. So get 70 attack no matter what, as training def with a whip would obviously be the best option, then you can either get 79 str, or 74atk/75str or 79atk/70str. But dont raise you atk/str over that. If you do it correctly, at 99range or mage, you will still be range/mage based.

Yes, because 79attack with 1 str isnt going to help. just make sure to follow what i wrote last time, but you dont have to get 79atk/70str right away, do it step by step as you get def levels too. When you notice that you cant level up your def that fast, then train atk and str a little : But dont get over 149 combined ;)
