Mercifull
ok im using winzip 9.0 SR-1 and when i compress the files they dont become smaller then before they were compressed why is this any help would be appreciated Depends what files they are. Things such as mp3s and avis are already compressed so zipping doesnt shave much more off the filesize. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. Hannibal
Are you sure you didn't alter the compression field? It should be in the lower left hand corner of the "Add..." dialog.
mk
If your zipping just a couple of smallish files the likelyhood is that there wont be a great difference between the original and zipped file size. Still a handy way of transfering multiple files at once tho.

Hannibal
[*:38hvs4hr]Open Winzip. [*:38hvs4hr]Click the "New..." button. [*:38hvs4hr]Pick where you want to save the zip file, and a name for it, and hit OK. [*:38hvs4hr]You'll be presented with the "Add..." dialog, now look in the lower left corner of the dialog. There's a compression combo box there, select either maximum or high. Select all the files, click the 'Add' button. [*:38hvs4hr]Wait till it's finished, and click the Close button. And you're done. Though, as Mercifull pointed out, Photo's, Movies and sound files often do not compress very well.
