When i did the quest, I just air waved it to pieces.

 

just wear full monk (since free to get), an airstaff, some other cheap mage/pray/def boosting gear and take some bloods, maybe a few sharks for emergency, 2 or 3 p pots and a 1click tele

 

 

 

you can kill that boss before the second helper appears or shortly after. Concentrate more on killing it then on staying live (don't die off course, just make offence first priority)

I could not poison it. I did hit it repeatedly with my ddp++ to get the special double attacks. I would recommend bringing the best offensive summoning creature you have to aid you.
