  1. You will get less nests with eucalyptus than with teaks. The higher the level of the tree, the longer it will take you to get a nest drop. Teak is a lower level tree than eucalyptus. Chopping trees will produce 2 items, nests and logs. For example (figures are guestimates, not scientific) , after chopping teaks for 5 minutes you will have accumulated 40 items. Choppin the higher level eucalyptus for 5 minutes you will have accumulated 30 items. Most or all of these items will be logs. But since the teak is producing more items, over time teak will produce considerably more nests than eucalyptus. Once again these figures are not time tested, just rough numbers to explain why teaks produce more nests. If you are looking to increase your nest drops then training on willows or maples are excellent choices.
  2. Star mining, (which I personally do with my clan), will not provide you with as much experience as mining coal in the mining guild or mining granite. Power mining granite if you have a enchanted water tiara or access to lunar magic is the best mining experience if you are interested in quickly levelling your mining skills. Star finding clans such as Star Find are wonderful groups for helping you find a star and get your daily reward for cashing in your star dust. However, star finding clans also result in massive amounts of people at the stars, which will greatly reduce your mining xp.
  3. I'd recommend going to the ogre spa and taking a 15hp boost into the combat. I meleed him, first drinking a super strength and a super attack and using my dpp++ for its 4 double attacks. If your concerned about him, you could always wear a ring of life too.
  4. There are many penguin chat worlds, most of which would really like (or insist) that you are on world 60. Here are 4 that I can think of: riods2525 penguins w60 w60 penguins penguin hunt
  5. A ring of life would have saved you. Unfortunately for you you were above 10% of your hp when the rev hit you for the last time, killing you. A ring will teleport you to safety if you have been damaged to below 10% health, but will not teleport you to safety if you have reached 0hp.
  6. I wouldn't recommend buying one for its looks, or as a status symbol. That being said if you've always wanted to own one then go for it. I recently bought a santa hat, something I've always wanted. Runescape is first and foremost a game. If owning a rare item makes you happy then you should definately buy it.
  7. Took 7710 tokens. I buried every bone. Must have gained at least 5k in prayer. Most coin and sword piles I was double checking while slaughtering the next cyclops. Ironically I continued on after finally getting the rune defender and had 2 more within the next ten kills.
  8. I've now spent 7600 warrior guild tokens and am the proud owner of a black defender for my efforts. I've worn a ring of wealth the entire time as well. Can I cannon the cyclops, or is there another method besides drinking alot of potions, that will speed up my cyclops slaying? I'm combat level 111, and more than a little frustrated.
  9. You should be able to finish them off, however you will probably have to do them one at a time. I'd recommend using a ddp++ and hitting them with the double attacks. Once you've defeated one, run out and heal and restock. Wait until your special attack is back at full until you take on the next one.
  10. The new quest has a high farming level requirement, considerably higher than required for any other quest. Therefore people are scrambling to get their farming up, and watermelons are the best for the fruit/veggie garden plot.
  11. I'd recommend the chaos tunnels. If you're worried about the baby blacks then fight the green dragons close to the portal where you enter the dragon area. If the blacks start to swarm you, jump through the portal back to the spiders. You can hang out there for a minute, to let the baby blacks go away. Then jump back through the portal and continue slaying green dragons. You're also close to a bank and an altar at the chaos tunnels.
  12. Don't forget the evil turnip by the belladonna. I don't want to crush your plans, but you'll have to plant your spirit tree early. It takes a long time to fully grow.
  13. I would heavily encourage you to buy a santa hat for an investment. Jagex has already told us through their guaranteed content poll that this year's CHristmas reward will be a Santa Coat. I'm anticipating that this will cause the price of Santa's to rise. That being said, if you've always wanted an item such as a Santa or a party hat go buy it. First and foremost you are supposed to enjoy playing Runescape. If getting a Santa Hat will make you enjoy the game more then it sounds like a tremendous investment. Several months ago I chose a Santa over spending the money on training for a skill cape and I still have no regrets.
  14. How about banshees in the slayer tower. Their attack is quite bad and damage is very minimal as long as you wear your earmuffs. You'll end up with a good quantity of herbs and noted pure essence.
  15. I'd recommend checking with Runescape's Questhelp, accessible from the Runescape main screen. It will tell you what you need to do next to get the quest going again.
