September 30, 200817 yr I'll answer your latest question first. Technically no you don't need to be in your own house to build furniture, as you can always build flatpacks in a friend's house. But, to furnish your own house you need to be in building mode. As for your questions about the gilded altar and such, yes, you only need a construction level 75 to build a gilded altar. However to save money, you could complete the Evil Dave miniquest and/or the Eyes of Glouphrie to obtain a stacked +9 construction bonus. If not, tea alone can give a bonus of +3 at level 69 and +2 at anything lower. About the training method you were asking for, I'd recommend you build oak larders with only oak planks atm. The xp per oak plank is the same for nearly every type of oak furniture, so you'd be looking for something uses the planks the quickest, and that, at your level, would be oak larders. You'll use 16 oak planks to build 2 oak larders, so I'd recommend hiring a cook from the Servants' Guild in north eastern East Ardougne. She'll bring you 16 oak planks in the time you can build 2 oak larders with time to spare, so that would be the quickest method. Just enter building mode, get the cook to go the bank, and when she comes back the first time, send her out again without building anything. Now rush to building the 2 oak larders and when you're done, in several moments the cook will arrive with planks. Send her out again and build 2 more oak larders. Repeat until you've reached the level to build gilded altars. If you have any more questions about Construction or POH related stuff, you can just PM me.
