[hide=in case anyone wants to do it]Sick of losing at Pest Control? Want to get fast points for that full Void Armour or for that last 50k exp to your next level? Well, I've put some thought into this lately and then I remembered something about PC- Each Portal is weak to a certain type of attack, so, what if we took advantage of that weakness, and, using all parts of the combat triangle, crush the portals? Have you ever noticed that the south east portal always gets defeated the easiest?

 

That's because it's weak to slash, the most used combat style (Whips, D long etc).

 

Now imagine if they all went down that fast. :shock: :o

 

 

 

Here are the weaknesses:

 

 

 

* East Portal/Blue - Magic

 

* Southeast Portal/Yellow - Slash

 

* Southwest Portal/Red - Crush or Stab

 

* West Portal/Purple - Range

 

 

 

Requirements to come to this(or these) event(s):

 

At least 80 Combat.

 

At least 60 Mage and Range.

 

The armor or something similar to what I have written below.

Gloves: Chaos Gaunts if using Fire Bolt> Barrows- Addy Gloves> Mith> Leather Gloves...

 

Boots: Dragon> Infinity> Rune

 

Ring: Warrior> Zerker> Seer's/Archer

 

Quiver: Broad/Steel bolts/arrows

 

Shield: Zamorak Book> DFS> Rune Defender if none of these then just wear Antifire Shield.

 

Weapon: Your Slash Weapon should be equipped.

 

Inventory includes runes for your chosen spell and Range Weapon of choice.

 

 

 

Notes: This setup is based on attack/str bonuses while keeping a high Mage bonus, Range bonus is unnecessary as once you equip your range weapon you should have enough bonus to do decent damage.

 

A Dark Bow can be really helpful against the Range Portal as it's a guaranteed at least 10 damage.

 

A Godsword is the absolute perfect weapon here as it can do slash and crush attacks.

 

D2h is good for crush and the special attack affects a lot of monsters.

 

The Void Knight thing with charges is helpful as it does a lot of damage. (I forgot the name)

 

Ice Burst is a amazing but expensive way of maging as it affects up to 9 monsters, and so are chinchompas when ranging.

 

The whole setup can more or less be replaced by Void Knight Armour with all three Helms, switching between the 3.

 

Potions are optional.

 

 

 

Strategy

 

IMPORTANT- As soon as a Portal goes down, make sure to attack it with the team, AND try to remember the weaknesses off by heart. Also, if you see a spinner, EVERYONE PILE IT.

 

 

 

First, everyone will get their 50 damage or if you are confident and you think you can get the damage on the portals alone

 

then feel free to skip to the next step.

 

Next, we will go towards the first portal whose shield drops and attack using its weakness.

 

Example: The Blue, Eastern Portal Shield has dropped! Player switch to their staff and attack the portal using magic.

 

Remember, everyone must attack the spinners and the portals as soon as they appear.

 

 

 

General Info

 

 

 

The Clan Chat Silomin will be used for the event.

 

 

 

Place: We will be meeting in the pest control bank in W99, only hopping if it's full of noobs who aren't there for the event.

 

Time: Saturday the 11th of October, GMT 5PM (please help me by giving me the other time zones)

 

 

 

We may be doing this every Saturday for a while if it's a success.

Do I need the exact equipment?

 

No, as long as you have a different weapon for each attack style, and a decent mage bonus, you're all set.

 

 

 

Is 60 mage range and 80 combat a bit high?

 

No?

 

 

 

Are you just doing this so you can get Void quickly?

 

Yes. No just kidding, I just got bored of PC and decided to make this to help other people get Void and have fun.
