Roaches Question

Are Cockroach workers weak to range? Would they be a decent place to train on my range tank? (50 range/45 def)

Cockroaches have high defense, so melee is preferable.

Uh no, it's the soldiers that have ranged attacks. The workers are melee only and there are safe spots for them.

They still would be bad exp and defense is too high to bother ranging at that low a level.

Train on lesser demons in karamja until either 60 or 70 range. After that, use mith/addy arrows on the lvl 83 cockaroach soldiers using other players as a safespot. You will more then likely beat a level 80 with 70 range with mith arrows 8/10 times (guesstimate, but there was a pure there once with 68 range that stole every single drop using addy arrows, then I world hopped =P~ )

I would personally advise against that, since lessers have very high defence as do cockroaches. Just kill something you can safespot really easly, and has low defence. Remember that the level monster you train on doesn't affect exp at all, only the amount of damage you do.

Ive been training on flesh crawlers when I thought I'd just ask about the roaches. I'll most likely just stay at crawlers, my def is high enough that with a rune chain, grn d hide vambs and chaps, and with a coif I dont need to safe spot. Thanks for all the advice guys.
