Orpheus
I recently installed Ubuntu and Windows to function as a dual-boot, but there is no sound. I can see the LED light on my speakers just fine, but they make no sound. I tried using headphones, which are doing the exact same thing. Both use the back speaker and microphone port, but are not functioning. USB headphones will produce sound, but the back ports will not. This is all I can think of, to be descriptive. I just installed Windows XP, if that helps, and I don't know what is wrong. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER. Iamdan
I messed up when I replied to your other topic, I meant you need a driver for your sound card. Look for the cd that came with your sound card, or if it's integrated it will be on your motherboard cd.
